bloods before, during, and now—huge difference. not just weight. hba1c below 5, cholesterol down, triglycerides, uric acid, liver enzymes, blood pressure all improved.

Can't believe it's been a year since I started on Feb 28, 2025! Started at 285lbs on my 5'2" frame and weighed in at 199.4lbs yesterday! Getting under 200 was a huge milestone.

I've been traveling since June of '25, which made things interesting. Tried to make smart choices when eating out, kept up with exercise when I could, and enjoyed alcohol in moderation. I usually had breakfast and midday snack in my room - things like yogurts, cheese, and nuts. Dinners were always out.

I packed a cooler for my meds and kept them cold with ice packs. Hotels usually have a fridge or I could ask the staff to store them. There were about 4 months where I couldn't get on a scale because I was in rural areas of Asia. I just had to trust my choices and rely on how my clothes felt.

I still think I want to lose like 50-ish lbs, but I am not sure because I have never been this weight as an adult.

My advice is go live life! Don't overthink everything, listen to your body, get some exercise and make good choices most of the time. Just trust the process.
