Zepbound not working for me. help!

So bummed. Been on Zepbound since summer '25, about 6-7 months, and only lost like...3-4 lbs. :disappointed:

Started at 2.5mg around August '25, and didn't notice any change in cravings or feeling full. Over the next 4 months, I slowly went up to 15mg by December—still nothing. Just some indigestion and lots of burping. 15mg from December to mid-February, then just stopped. Was afraid of rebound cravings -- but nope, felt exactly the same when I quit. No returning cravings... because they never went away.

At least the burping is gone. Tried all the different shot sites, been eating super clean, watching calories, and drinking tons of water (like 90+ oz a day).

My husband’s had great results and hit his goal weight. So confused and sad that it's not working for me.

Got about 100+ lbs to lose, and I was so hopeful.

Congrats to everyone with success stories! [emoji] I'm sad—but still hoping I'll figure this out. [emoji]

Thanks for sharing on this semaglutide board!

Just a reminder, we can't talk about unapproved meds or selling anything, even in DMs. Be careful of people offering you stuff.

If you're new, check out the FAQ.

Sorry to hear that, Sam_93. Did you talk to your doctor? Maybe something medical is preventing it from working?

Also, hard truth time: even WITHOUT GLP-1s, if you're eating less calories than you burn and you don't have medical issues, you should be losing weight. GLP's are great, but you still need to track your intake to make sure you're in a calorie deficit. "Mindful eating" might be putting you over your TDEE.

If you haven't already, get bloodwork done. Hormones, thyroid, etc. As women age and estrogen drops, weight loss gets harder.

You might be a non-responder (but there are other meds!), or you might have something else going on.

Weight training is great for women. Don't give up!

I had a similar issue with Zepbound! Didn't work well for me. I switched back to semaglutide and started losing again! I switched because everyone said tirzepatide was better, but it wasn't for me. Even my bloodwork got worse on Zepbound. Glad there are options!

Oh no, that's so frustrating [emoji]

I'm a slow responder too. Started in September and have lost about 25 lbs since then. I eat well and exercise 5 days a week. The cravings are way down, but I never lost my appetite completely. My sister started the same time and has lost almost 50lbs, and we weigh about the same. It's hard not to get discouraged...

Maybe ask your doctor about switching to semaglutide. You might respond better to that. Make sure you're eating in a calorie deficit too - that should help. I'm losing slowly, like half a pound a week, but at least it's something.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! I'm planning to talk to my doctor again soon. I appreciate the support! [emoji]

Good! Advocate for yourself!! There's usually something to tweak or try.

I've heard that some people don't respond as well to one GLP-1 med as another. It's definitely worth trying a different one! Don't give up hope yet.

Yep,

Exactly! That's why I went back to sema. Zep just wasn't it for me.

Update: My doctor suggested I try a different medication. We're going to switch me over to semaglutide and see if that works better. Fingers crossed! [emoji]

I weigh myself every day. I've found it helps me see how different foods affect me. But I only *officially* record my weight once a week, on Mondays. That way, I can see the overall trend without getting too caught up in daily fluctuations.

I do weekly weigh-ins too! Daily can drive you nuts. Your weight goes up and down based on a million things. Weekly gives you a better overall picture.

adding another compound makes sense if the current dose isn't doing the job for your goals. if it's injury-related, running them separately might work better — one compound daily, the other every other day at higher dose until the injury heals.

That's crazy good—260 to 172 is no joke. That "who is this" feeling takes forever to fade. On the 160 vs 170 thing you've got it right. If 172 feels natural and you're not grinding the whole time to stay there, that's worth way more than chasing another 10 just for the number. Easing down the dose usually works better than dropping hard. Find the lowest dose where things don't slide back.
