Hit my goal weight!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Low and slow is the way with AI—start super small if you need it at all. A lot of conflicting stuff online about it. I'd rather dial up gradually than deal with the fallout. As for the hormone recheck, most say wait 8 weeks, so you're reading the signs till then.

5'7, started February, never above 1mg, averaging 1 pound a week across the run, high weight 245 but started at 200, now at 144 in maintenance - that is a remarkably clean low-dose trajectory. The OP's 7 months at similar starting demographics is a useful benchmark for someone who hasn't hit goal yet.

Staying at 5.0 while the scale slows is exactly the right call once you've hit goal. The slightly higher calorie intake for maintenance is the real adjustment now - the medication handles the hunger signal, you calibrate the intake. How's the hunger been since shifting to maintenance mode?

the portion habit that develops on semaglutide and then stays when the medication ends is the mechanism that gives weight maintenance a structural foundation - the medication is not just suppressing appetite but changing the learned relationship with portion size through repetition. the not-gained-back-a-single-pound outcome at goal weight is the evidence that the habit transfer actually happened rather than just the medication effect

Surprised your maintenance calories are that low given your height. Have you considered bumping them up a bit? You look great and really toned, honestly can't even spot the loose skin you're describing, though I get that we all see our own bodies differently.

Going in, my target was 185, hadn't seen that number since college and figured it'd be a massive win on its own.

Once results started showing, I shifted the goal to a 'normal' BMI range instead, bringing it down to 164.

Got there in seven months! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MEDICATION!

Very similar story here. Sitting about 10lbs under my target with a BMI around 18.7. Could stand to put back 7-14lbs, but the idea of gaining scares me honestly. I purposely went a bit below my target for cushion room once I eventually stop, but part of me doesn't want to touch that buffer! Recently eased the dose down to 2.5mg from 5mg so we'll see how that plays out.

Being close to 40 with perimenopause looming probably feeds into my anxiety about this too! I feel like my habits are solid (currently on a 470-plus day streak logging food on MyFitnessPal lol) but there's still that nagging worry lurking somewhere in my head.

Good luck with your own journey. Staying at goal is genuinely tough!

Kicking off week sixteen!

Quick rundown:
5'7, female
Peak weight: 221 (dropped 46 right before starting Reta)
Beginning weight: 175
Current: 139 (6 pounds lighter than two weeks back, 36 total since Reta)
First target: 160, hit it!!!
Second target: 140, hit that too!!!

Dose: injection number sixteen went in Sunday night, holding at 4 mg.
Cardiovascular numbers: 99 over 60, pulse resting at 56. Unchanged since I began Reta
Side effects: mainly sleep quality, missing that deep restorative rest. Plus a day or so of intermittent queasiness, dizziness, and fatigue after each shot.
Activity: racquet sports three to four times weekly plus lifting weights again after a long break.
Thoughts:
Made it to my target weight!! Champagne emoji, celebration emojis, thirty-six pounds gone across fifteen weeks, still can't wrap my head around it. Genuinely can't. Never once seen a number starting with '13' on any scale in my entire life, going back to my earliest memory stepping on one as a teen.
Grabbed a new pair of Levis. Even back when I wasn't particularly heavy, my size always sat around 31 or 32. Brought a 30 into the fitting room, way too roomy. Dared to grab a 29? Also swimming in it. Guys, I'm wearing size 27 jeans now!!!! Could genuinely cry. Never owned anything in the 20s before. Still, holding them up in front of the mirror I
