Reta kinda working? Still unsure...

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Too soon to call yet. Takes some folks longer to kick in. I didn't notice much at first either when I used a telehealth provider.

Delayed response is common enough to warrant a few more weeks before adjusting anything - early signal can still build into real suppression.

Nausea at day six means it's active - full appetite suppression usually follows the GI adjustment by a week or two.

Day 6 at 0.5mg is very early - the suppression effect for reta typically starts showing more clearly around week 2-3 at that dose. The nausea you felt this morning is actually a signal it's working. Craving pizza at day 6 doesn't mean it's not working - the full appetite change takes longer to establish. Splitting doses early like you did can extend the side effect window, so it's worth giving a consistent dose schedule a few weeks before adjusting.

4th dose at 1.5mg is still the very beginning. A day or two stall at that point is just the body adjusting - the full picture usually takes a few weeks at a consistent dose to be readable. Don't change anything yet.

constipation causing nausea is the feedback loop that catches a lot of people on GLP-1 off guard - when gastric motility is already slowed, any additional backup amplifies the nausea rather than adding a separate symptom. the unwell feeling that comes with it is the whole-body version of a system that needs help moving things along, and resolving the backup usually clears both symptoms together

How long before you noticed real effects on the fifth compound?

Currently in my second week myself.

Started on July 20th, splitting doses between two set days each week.

1mg on the first day, 1mg on the second, planning to stick with this exact pattern for a full month!

Feeling fuller earlier into meals, though I still catch myself grabbing fast food out of habit rather than actual hunger, even though I could easily pick something healthier instead. Really hoping to eventually silence that mental chatter and default to better choices naturally.
Does any of this sound familiar to you? And have you managed to push past whatever's been holding you back so far?

Yesterday, following that first injection, I braced myself for something dramatic. Assumed hunger would just switch off completely, that even looking at food might turn my stomach, all the things I kept reading about. Nothing like that actually showed up.

One day out, the only noticeable shift is a touch of mild constipation. Appetite's low, though truthfully breakfast hasn't really appealed to me the last couple weeks regardless, so hard to attribute that to the medication just yet.

Planning to hold off judgment for a bit longer and watch how things develop. Really appreciate the guidance and tips shared here!

Right after that first dose yesterday, part of me genuinely hoped for something dramatic. Pictured hunger switching off completely, food suddenly turning unappetizing, along those lines. That's roughly the picture painted by most accounts out there. None of it materialized though.

One day in, and the sole shift worth mentioning is a touch of constipation. Appetite's muted, though truthfully mornings hadn't brought much interest in eating even before this started, so it's unclear whether that's connected yet.

Planning to wait a bit longer and watch how this unfolds. Really grateful for the tips and input shared here!

Think I've figured out where things went sideways. My weight's dropped to 92.2 kg currently. These past few days I skipped the office entirely and stuck to homemade meals, cleaner snack choices, or protein drinks, keeping calories quite low. Whenever I do go into the office though, the food temptations pull me toward stuff I really shouldn't touch. Makes sense since office spreads tend to be greasy and processed. Might be wrong, but I've decided to push forward, and once I finish this current 0.5 round, I'll bump up to 1 mg. Appreciate everyone's input.
