GLP-1 costs are bumming me out

Try ordering directly through the manufacturer, comes out significantly cheaper. If diabetes isn't the diagnosis, the alternate branded version might be worth trying too, runs slightly less expensive.

Is obesity a societal problem, or what?

Carrying obesity genuinely isn't safe for everyone either. Just because a particular approach didn't work out for you doesn't mean it's harmful across the board. Broke my ankle out hiking once, doesn't mean I go around telling people hiking is dangerous and nobody should try it.

    Real talk about Mounjaro

That's solid progress honestly. Only thing I'd suggest is once you actually start mounjaro, ease into it, don't rush the dose increases, that tends to spike side effects more than anything else.

    Low libido on GLP-1s?

On ozempic myself and haven't noticed any shift in libido. Only real change has been some extra irritation with loose skin.

    Tirz or Reta to start?

Wouldn't swap over to reta personally, especially since things are going well already and you're only chasing another ten pounds. Reta's side effects aren't going to help the tiredness at all. Also don't think you need a pile of other peptides, though it's admittedly fun to experiment. Growth...

Is research sema the cheapest GLP-1?

What country's this for? Domestically, compounded semaglutide runs around 120 monthly regardless of dose. Just not through providers running massive advertising campaigns though.

Weight Loss Was Just the Beginning

Glad someone else feels the same. Weighing in daily would send me spiraling and way too stressed.

    Math check for Reta dose?

I keep my labeling simple, just the compound, how much bac I used, and the mg-per-unit conversion. Only thing left to figure is however many units or mg I'm currently dosing. Reta at 60, mixed with 3ml bac, works out to 1mg per 5 units.

    Is fasting okay with GLP-1s?

Eating less is definitely part of the answer here. I stick to two solid meals a day and I'm down 23kg over four months, feeling really energized with it. Fasting from after lunch until morning has worked great for me.

Tirz, Reta, and Joint Pain: Anyone Else?

Started a thread on this exact topic a while back. Reta clearly works, but tirz seems to carry extra anti-inflammatory value I wouldn't want to give up. Haven't come across solid research or firsthand accounts confirming tirzepatide does more there specifically. Wondering if it's the gip agonism...

    Ozempic then Mounjaro?

Made the switch myself not long ago, on my second mounjaro dose now. Doc moved me from 1mg ozempic straight to 10mg mounjaro. Rough first week with body aches and general misery, but feeling solid now. Already down 7 lbs after months stuck on ozempic without movement.

    Almost to goal! Feeling good!

Those side by side comparisons genuinely save the day when the scale isn't telling the whole story. Muscle gain sneaks up on you, you've clearly built something new back there.

    Protein on GLP-1s?! Help!

Spread across four smaller meals with roughly 30 grams of protein each every three hours or so, that lands you around 120 grams total for the day. Still worth digging into it further though, active adults might want closer to 40 grams per sitting, but spacing it out through the day is generally...

    Reta not workin'?

Hasn't done much for me either honestly. Bumping the dose to 10mg starting next month, hoping that's what finally gets things moving. Planning to keep climbing until I hit the max dose, and fingers crossed retatrutide gets FDA approval soon without the price being outrageous.

    Can't 💩 on Sema? SOS!

Genuinely struggled with this a lot. Started eating a probiotic gut health yogurt daily and it made a massive difference.

2.5mg do you have to up dose?

Started at 2.5mg a month back, moved up to 5mg as of yesterday. The food noise and my hunger both shifted hard the first couple weeks, but I seemed to adjust by the two weeks after that. Feeling the good effects kick back in now on the 5mg.

    GLP-1 Feelings - Day 3!

One of the biggest things these meds do is dial down that constant food chatter, or at least make it more manageable. Most people notice it fading within just a few days.

MIL's on my case! Too thin?

That's a manipulative move from someone who benefits from keeping you dependent and insecure. That comment was cruel and intentionally hurtful. Mocking you isn't support, it's cruelty. Leave that relationship.

    Stacking Tirz + Cagri

My approach mirrored yours, ramping reta up while tapering tirz down. Worked out exactly like I hoped. Sitting at 2mg reta weekly now with zero tirz since food noise just isn't an issue. Open to adding a small amount of tirz back if needed. Losing weight much quicker now, roughly ten pounds shy...

    Tirzepatide: Dilution Q's

Currently at 10mg weekly on Tirz, probably heading up to 12.5 then 15mg eventually. Curious, with 60mg vials, what's the ideal amount of BAC to mix in? 2ml or 3ml? Anyone have experience working with those specific vials?
