Reta side effects: fast or slow?

IBS clearing on Reta is a common secondary effect - the GI motility change runs both directions.

    Pic popped up - wow!

290 to 215 in a year is one of the better transformation arcs - the face change at that loss range is unmistakable.

WTF are we gonna use for bac water now?

Side effects got better when you moved to 10 mg? Want to make sure I read that right because mine started kicking hard at 7.5. Is food noise gone at the 10 mg level? Seeing my doctor in a couple weeks and want to talk through it but curious what your experience was.

Wow, almost a year on the magic juice!

That sucks, sorry. One piece of bread wrecked me for days too at first. Don't jump doses up if nausea's bad — semaglutide punishes you when you eat the wrong stuff. Check what you're having and how much. Drop the dose if you need to. No rule says you have to go up every visit.

    Anyone else always freezing now?

on my 5th shot tomorrow and it's been absolute hell. so tired but can't sleep, body feels heavy, dizzy when i stand. like your friend, barely getting anything done. house is a mess, called out of work, almost passed out cutting the lawn. people say side effects fade but i'm not sure how much...

    Booze on Semaglutide - anyone?

In this economy?!? Not giving up my occasional glass of wine!

    Wegovy savings?!? 🤔 Legit?

To answer Rory_2004, the patent expiration simply allows generic manufacturers to produce the drug. It will still take time for them to get approval and manufacture it. Expect generics maybe by next year. Some are estimating they might be 60-70% cheaper when they finally hit stores.

    Booze on Semaglutide - anyone?

I still drink occasionally. The difference is now I might have one or two drinks twice a week, whereas before it was closer to six or eight every day LOL

    Done with STEP-UP trial!

Started this a year ago. Lost about 50 lbs in 5 months, then plateau for 5 months. Then it woke me up 10 times a night. Switched to Mounjaro, lost 4 more lbs, plateau again. I'm at 135kg, started at 163kg. Paying 400 euros a month for nothing. Can't afford the 12.5 dose. Any tips?

Fantastic progress Kelly_1976! Keep up the great work!

    Sema success! One year in

Eye issues might be from Mounjaro, but research leans more toward semaglutide alone (Ozempic/Wegovy) for this kind of nerve problem. Tirzepatide seems to stabilize the eye effects compared to sema by itself. Also closely tied to high blood pressure and sharp A1c drops. Monitor those numbers hard...

    Halfway there!

Try zinc a few days before and after Botox—supposedly makes it last longer. Even regular exercise and sauna kill my Botox way faster than sitting around.

    Suddenly... normal?!

tons of things could be playing a role in gaining. are you in a deficit? did you recalculate your tdee? what dose and is it time to go up? exercise and strength training? enough protein and fiber? bloodwork show any nutrient gaps? tracking blood sugar? talked to your doc?

    Sticking with 0.5mg?

0.5 was the dose where I finally had dependable appetite suppression. I was told that the lower doses are mainly for adjustment initially.

    Sticking with 0.5mg?

I remained there until the weight loss stopped, which was about half a year. Lost nearly 70 pounds, then went up to the next dose. I'm maintaining now at 1.7, and have been for two years. Lost 140 pounds total.

Sema stopped working... switch to Tirz?

T2D here, been on 2mg about 9-10 months, plateau hit 2 months ago. Doctor gave me the option to switch brands if this stops working. Don't see them until July so we'll see. My mom's also T2D, was on the first one for years at 2mg, switched because her new doctor pushes the second one. She's lost...

OMG! I can *almost* fit in a normal towel!

The towel wrapping is the kind of non-scale victory that the number on the scale could never capture - these are the markers that make the trajectory feel real in a way the morning weigh-in doesn't.

    Reta working *too* well?

Appreciate it. This year is finally about me getting healthier. I'm lifting six days a week, running on weekends, and honestly just feel more like myself than I have in years.

Under 300 for the first time!

Damn I was too late getting those filters - they were like a dollar a piece from china with free shipping. Would definitely look into them if there's stock.
