To answer Rory_2004, the patent expiration simply allows generic manufacturers to produce the drug. It will still take time for them to get approval and manufacture it. Expect generics maybe by next year. Some are estimating they might be 60-70% cheaper when they finally hit stores.

Eye issues might be from Mounjaro, but research leans more toward semaglutide alone (Ozempic/Wegovy) for this kind of nerve problem. tons of things could be playing a role in gaining. are you in a deficit? did you recalculate your tdee? what dose and is it time to go up? exercise and strength training? enough protein and fiber? bloodwork show any nutrient gaps? tracking blood sugar? talked to your doc?
