    Reta noob - dosing questions

Keep a log of the date, shot amount, weight, and any sides. I went with the standard protocol at first. As I went up, I got some nerve pain and cramps for a couple of days. So, I reduced the dose until the pain eased off. Then my weight loss stopped. So, I switched to injecting twice a week and...

Down 70 lbs! A year on this stuff...

Huge congratulations. My doctor said that the one-year mark is when people tend to really integrate the lifestyle changes. That's steady and significant progress and it's obvious.

Way to go! What GLP-1 med are you on?

GLP-1: Ride it out or Lifer?

I saw another post about someone who's been on sema and now Zepbound for 5 years. She's lost a LOT of weight: started at 260-270 and is now 130-135. And she says she plans to stay on it forever too. Says she can eat normal amounts without always being hungry.

GLP-1: Ride it out or Lifer?

FYI, set point theory isn't universally accepted, especially for humans. It might be true, but it might not. Lots of animal studies don't translate to humans.

GLP-1: Ride it out or Lifer?

It just depends on how much it kills your appetite. Some people just aren't hungry on a low dose of tirz and eat a third of what they used to.

GLP-1: Ride it out or Lifer?

What you do while you're on these meds matters a lot. If you use it to build better eating habits and get to a weight where you can exercise, your odds of staying off them are much better. Building muscle is important. Even if it's only burning an additional 8-10 calories a day, it adds up. New...

    Teso ain't for me?

Has anyone tried PT-141? I read it can help with libido. But I'm wondering if there are side effects or interactions.

    Teso ain't for me?

I'm curious about peptides for energy too. Has anyone tried sermorelin? I'm reading about it helping with energy and maybe losing some belly fat. I'm seeing some clinics advertising it but they won't give me even a ballpark for the cost of the actual sermorelin. I don't want to waste my money on...

Finally did it! My first dose!

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone! It really does help to know I'm not alone. I actually feel a bit better now, the lightheadedness is fading. Maybe it was just nerves. I'm going to try and get some sleep. Night!

Finally did it! My first dose!

Congrats! I only feel comfortable talking to people in this group, since im not sure if i can tell my friends that I'm on this med. I also hate needles, so I set a timer on my phone. I set it for 30 seconds, inject at 13 seconds, and it stops injecting around 5 seconds, then I close my eyes...

Finally did it! My first dose!

Just had to tell someone! I'm a loner and bury myself in work, so I don't have many people I trust. But tonight, I finally took the plunge and injected myself. I've been so afraid of needles, and I've read about some nasty side effects, which ramped up my anxiety. I kept putting it off, saying...

    Reta: Effects on booze?

What does a full liver panel include? I can see where a 2021 study found some things, but I don't see medical places using it yet.

    Reta: Effects on booze?

That's a shame to hear! It's died down a bit for me too, and I'm having cravings again, which had disappeared. But I guess this is a chance to practice willpower and find new ways to de-stress without alcohol!

    Reta: Effects on booze?

It's been better than my ADHD meds! I don't want to drink, I go to bed on time, I have energy, and my mood is better. Sleep, exercise, and diet help, too.

    Reta: Effects on booze?

If you dislike meetings (like me), try lurking on the stopdrinking subreddit! Just reading stories helps me a lot. Good luck with the prescription! It didn't do anything for me, and I don't react well to one of the ingredients.
