    Mazdutide: Retatrutide's cousin?

I did have high ALT levels, like 10x the normal limit. I didn't want to try anything for my liver without my doctor's okay. I'm not saying anything would have worked or not; it's just what I thought. My hepatologist and I didn't think retatrutide was causing the liver issue, but we stopped it...

    Mazdutide: Retatrutide's cousin?

Weight loss meds usually reduce liver fat. But drugs that activate glucagon receptors (GCGR) lead to a bigger reduction. Low liver fat is good. Mazdutide and survodutide activate GCGR. Retatrutide is the most studied weight loss medication in this class. I don't know much about glutathione.

    Mazdutide: Retatrutide's cousin?

You need doses of 10-16 mg of mazdutide to get Reta-like results. I'm basing this on the mazdutide studies, which weren't direct comparisons. There was a recent 48-week trial with 10 and 16 mg doses.

    Mazdutide: Retatrutide's cousin?

The once-per-day dosing is uncommon in tests. I use it to help my body adjust better to the newer GLP-1 meds. It also minimizes peaks and valleys. Once-weekly dosing is likely based on convenience. I think this minimizes side effects. But trials would need to be conducted to determine whether my...

    Mazdutide: Retatrutide's cousin?

I also take tirzepatide. 1.1 mg per day. I don't want to raise the tirz dose because it makes me sleepy and gives me stomach issues.

    Mazdutide: Retatrutide's cousin?

I'm doing a weird dosing thing. Probably too much for most. I use a spreadsheet I found to track the amount of mazdutide in my system. I aim to increase the level by 0.2 daily. The half-life of mazdutide has a wide range, but I'm using 10 days for the calculation. I think I read 10 days is the...

    Mazdutide: Retatrutide's cousin?

Reta's good, but some people don't react well. Same with semaglutide and tirzepatide. I'm on mazdutide myself, but I'm not saying anything about results since it's only been a couple of weeks.

    Mazdutide: Retatrutide's cousin?

They did a 48-week study on mazdutide, playing with the dosages. Seems those on the highest dose, 16 mg, shed over twice as much weight compared to the 6 mg folks. Though, the 6 mg group mostly stuck to 3 mg, bumping it up later. Nausea hit 60% of the high-dose crew. Hsia, et al. (Poster -...

    Food noise still loud?

I've only been on Ozempic for 3 weeks, at the starting dose. I see people say the food noise disappeared after their first dose. But I still have the food noise. I've had side effects but haven't seen much difference. Am I expecting too much, too soon?

    GLP-1s, Fertility & Pregnancy Talk

This is super helpful. I am currently on reta and also on TRT. We do want kids "someday" but not right now. So basically the GLP isn't hurting fertility, but the TRT is the bigger issue long term? Just making sure I understand that correctly.

    Ozempic Lawsuits?!

We need to see if it's actually causing these problems. Keep these things in mind: 1. Tons of people use this medication. Even if it's 2000 cases, it's still a small amount of users. 2. I think diabetes/losing weight fast can cause some of these issues already. So it might not be the drug...

    Insurance coverage for GLP-1s explained

New guy here. This helped a lot. Quick question: if I am technically prediabetic (A1C 6.1) and BMI 34, is it even worth trying a prior auth? Or is that usually automatic denial? I do not want to do anything shady, but I also do not want to wait until I am "sick enough" to qualify.
