    Talking GLP-1s with Your Doctor

What the doctor said first is always the most useful context - it shapes every other option.

Muscle Loss: A Serious GLP-1 Side Effect?

Right, the mechanisms don't compete. GHK-Cu is mostly about tissue remodeling and gene expression shifts, glutathione is the antioxidant clearance side. They're addressing different downstream effects of the same stressor. Running both doesn't create redundancy - they fill separate slots. The...

    A year on GLP-1s!

I agree with Pops. I've been on my current GLP-1 for about 7 months now and have lost about 50 pounds. Still have a little ways to go, but feeling great! Slow and steady wins the race.

    Lost 60+ pounds this year!

Non-diabetic sema outcomes track closely with diabetic outcomes on weight - the extra benefit for T2D is the glucose normalization running alongside it, not a faster scale reading.

    Weird Places You're Getting Thin?

I need to get my wedding ring resized ASAP. It's currently an 8.5, and I just got remeasured at a size 7. Didn't expect that big of a difference! 😅

    So grateful for this journey!

Absolutely amazing. 'Gratitude' is the perfect word. So thankful to live in an age where modern medicine can improve our lives so much. And thankful for family too! Gratitude all around.

    2.5mg still working after months?

It took me almost 7 months to lose a similar amount (just 10 lbs shy of my goal). I was on 2.5 almost the entire time, except for week 5 when I went up to 5mg and experienced the same lack of appetite you're describing. There was a shortage of Zepbound, but after 10 days, I found Mounjaro in...

    2.5mg still working after months?

Try sipping on some good quality bone broth between meals and add a quality collagen supplement to your diet. That should help!

GLP-1s and Acne Flare-Ups? Anyone else?

I'm dealing with some stubborn fat myself, even with the GLP-1. I've been reading about sermorelin. I saw on another forum that some people use it to help target stubborn fat. One user said, "I have seen even further reduction in body fat...got rid of the stubborn spots, put on even more lean...

GLP-1s and Acne Flare-Ups? Anyone else?

I remember reading somewhere that fat cells store hormones, so shedding pounds releases those hormones into your system. I just did a quick search, and here's what I found: "Toxin/Hormone Release: Fat cells accumulate toxins and excess hormones that can be released into the bloodstream as fat...

    Brain says snack time!

It's crazy how much quieter my mind is now. Before, I'd grab a burger secretly after picking up food for everyone. I'd feel so bad afterwards. I can so relate to that. It's great to not have that noise in my head anymore.

    Ozempic's losing its...oomph?

Started gaining about a pound each week, so my doc upped the dose.

    Ozempic's losing its...oomph?

Since we're talking Canada, I thought I'd add my 2 cents on the costs. I am prescribed Ozempic to treat T2D and manage my A1C levels. I currently take 0.5mg of the medication. I also pay out of pocket for my prescriptions and I get it filled at Costco. The 2mg pen costs me $219 CAD when using...

    Brain says snack time!

I learned that I'd crave stuff, but I couldn't eat as much as before. Like, I used to eat a whole bag of sour gummies, but now I only want a few. Or I'll have a couple of bites of a pastry and feel good, and then I either toss it or save the rest.

    Ozempic plateau during perimenopause?

Yeah, I know I need to be more disciplined with tracking. It's just such a drag!

    Ozempic plateau during perimenopause?

I've found taking breaks helps - Just a couple of months. Then I restart at .5, .75, and then 1mg (which is where I am now and tend to stay). It seems to help. I actually saw a pharmacist talking about the benefits of doing this recently.
