I've been hesitant to post because I see so many incredible transformations here, and my progress felt underwhelming. I wanted to share my experience for those who might be losing slower than expected or just beginning.

People often talk about losing 5-15% of their initial weight if they respond well. I felt like I hadn't lost much, but 30lbs is about 16% of my starting weight! That really changed my perspective.

I'm currently on a 1mg dose. I tried 1.5mg for three months over the summer, but the cost became too much at $500 a month.

It'll probably take another 7-8 months to reach my goal, but I've implemented sustainable lifestyle changes and can still add more without feeling overwhelmed.

My typical week:

* Volleyball once a week (fun cardio, burns around 1000 calories)
* Reformer Pilates twice a week (low impact, great strength training)
* Spin class once a week (challenging cardio)
* Recovery yoga once a week (stretching and relaxation)

Food-wise, I started by tracking calories and aiming for under 1500 per day. It helped me understand portions and macros.

Now, I don't need to track religiously. I don't restrict foods; I focus on portion control. I still enjoy burgers, fries, and pasta, but I'm naturally more mindful of overeating.

Some critics say we're just building better habits and don't need medication. They don't understand what it's like to be in our shoes. This medication has transformed my life, and I hope this post inspires those who are feeling discouraged!

I only managed to drop 8lbs after 23 weeks using a similar medication. Mostly after I started the 1mg dose. I've now switched to a different compound, and I've already noticed an additional 8lbs gone in just a few weeks.

That's awesome progress, @Sage! Keep it up!

Everyone's body responds differently, and that's completely normal. Some may not lose anything during the initial phase, and that's okay too. The medication is working internally, and you'll eventually see and feel the effects.

Keep going; you're doing great!

Congrats on the steady progress, @Bobby_2006! Losing 30lbs over 9 months sounds way more sustainable than those crazy diets. Keep it up, you're doing amazing! 💪

Thanks everyone for the support!

Awesome job! Congratulations. I'm glad you found something that is working better for you.

I really appreciate your post, @Bobby_2006! I'm about two months in and I've only lost about 10 pounds, and I just need some encouragement to track better and exercise more.

I'm not even sure how many calories I should be aiming for, and tracking that on top of the carbs for my type 1 diabetes is exhausting just thinking about it lol.

Anyway, congrats!

It can be overwhelming, I know. Maybe start with just tracking for a few days to get a baseline? Then you can adjust from there. Don't feel pressured to be perfect right away!

I saw a post about someone losing over 70 pounds. That's amazing. They started a year ago at 222 lbs and are now down to 148 lbs! They are 5'9" and on a 5mg dose now - started with 2.5mg! They mostly eat balanced meals, each only about 1/3 of what they used to eat, with Greek yogurt, fruit, cheese and peanut butter in between.

Someone posted online about face changes and weight loss. They're down about 29 pounds since January, and about 12 of that has been in the last month or so. They said the change in their face is huge!

That's so true! It's something I've noticed too. I didn't really see it until I looked at old photos!

Supply chains in China basically shut down during the holidays. Everyone takes time off and nothing ships for months. Plan around it next year and you won't run short.

Two years starting this month - went 215 down to 138. Progress slowed down a lot this year though. Burned through weight the opening 6-8 months. Think my body hit maintenance mode since I've been on 2.4 for ages.

Hitting my 10th dose felt like a milestone, so I snapped a progress shot. Everyone's transformations are amazing but I wanted to show slower progress too, so people early on don't lose hope. Steady wins, and my partner sees changes I barely notice. Can't wait to see month 10.
