Almost there...stalled!

Not everyone gets the weight loss from stimulants. Wouldn't count on it for a plateau. I've been on them 2 years for ADHD, not on a GLP, and lost very little from them. Talk to your doctor about breaking through your plateau with your actual weight loss med. That's your tool.

12 months in and I'm thinking about the exit. I read that people regain like 4x faster than regular dieting and two-thirds get most of it back in a year. That scared me. I've been doing okay on the meds—don't wanna white-knuckle my way back to square one. What actually helped people who didn't rebound?

Just throwing this out there... I'm so close I can TASTE IT!

I'm a little frustrated because I'm SO close to getting under 200, but stuck.

I'm on 12.5mg and started this journey almost a year ago. (Starting weight: 256, current weight: 202.6, lowest weight: 201.6)

Breaking that 200 mark is HUGE for me, and for the last month and a half, I've been bouncing between 201.6 and 203. I'm watching my calories and doing extra workouts, hoping to bust through this plateau. I really thought I'd see it this weekend, but the scale went UP a pound! Grrr!

I'll get there. I know I need to chill and be patient. This whole thing has taught me patience, since I'm not one of the fast responders.

Keep going, everyone! We've got this!

Maybe your body is adding muscle as you lose fat? Have you looked into body composition analysis to check your fat and muscle percentages?

I hear you. Weighed in at 200.2 this morning, haha! It'll happen. Trust the process. Keep doing the right things, and soon you'll be setting new goals.

How much water are you drinking? My weight loss stalls FAST if I don’t drink enough.

Also, what's your diet like? A 1300-calorie diet of fast food won't have the same effect as 1300 calories of fruits, veggies, nuts, beans, and lean proteins.

Are you eating enough, but not too much? Exercising in moderation? Some people eat healthy but still overeat. Others restrict too much. Some over-exercise. Stressing your body too much can trigger metabolic adaptation, where your body burns calories more efficiently because it thinks you're starving.

Good luck!

I'm in the same boat! Promise you'll tell us when you hit Onederland! It's coming for you, I'm sure of it! When, not if! You got this! LETS GO!

I can't seem to create a new post on this forum; it always goes to verification. Can anyone help? I'm starting my injections tomorrow and could use some advice. Thanks!

Thanks, everyone, for the support! Wait-And-See I'm drinking about 80oz of water a day. As for food, I'm tracking everything pretty closely and aiming for a balance of protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs. Maybe I am overdoing it at the gym... I'll try dialing it back a bit and see if that helps.

Hang in there, Foxxx. It can be super frustrating when you're so close. I've been on this for almost a year now and there were definitely times when I just wanted to throw in the towel. But it's worth it! Just keep tweaking things and you will get there.

If you've been on for almost a year, maybe your body has found its happy weight for now? Sometimes our bodies just need a break. I've heard others say they've taken breaks and then started losing again.

Also, I've noticed that if I don't eat enough fiber, things slow down. Maybe try adding some chia seeds or flaxseed to your smoothies or yogurt, Foxxx. It can help keep things moving and might break that stall.

I was just reading a thread where someone said it took them almost a year to lose 55 lbs. They were frustrated at first that they didn't lose weight as fast as others, but then they realized everyone's journey is unique. Just be patient!

Skipped zinc on purpose - most of what I've read says it's not needed if diet is solid, and copper toxicity from food is basically a non-issue. That said, the needle swap is the easiest variable to control if anything looks off with absorption. Worth trying before adding supplements you don't need.
