Anhedonia on Tirz - anyone else?

So, I'm taking Tirz, and it's really helping with the cravings and quieting down the constant thoughts about food. But I've noticed I don't really enjoy doing my hobbies lately. It's like my brain is just 'meh' about everything. Is anyone else dealing with a lack of pleasure on this stuff? Any tips to get my mojo back?

Hang in there. Seriously, it took a few months, but my brain eventually adjusted. It was like it was throwing a tantrum at first, demanding the dopamine hit from food, but eventually it realized that wasn't happening anymore and started looking for other sources of enjoyment. Now I'm genuinely happy doing other stuff again. It just takes time for your brain to rewire itself.

It could also be tied to the calorie deficit and weight reduction itself, not just the medication. If you've lost a significant amount of weight over a longer period, that might be it. Have you tried just forcing yourself to do things you used to enjoy? Sometimes just getting started can kickstart the positive feelings. If you're early on and haven't lost much, then it's probably the Tirz. Maybe Reta would be better? Also, don't psych yourself out too much. Placebo is strong, and if you are expecting it to make you feel bad, it might.

I'm down maybe 8-10 pounds the last 6 weeks, so yeah pretty early. I'll ask my doc about Reta, thanks!

Guys, I've gone down almost 70 pounds over the course of my treatment. I feel so much better about my body. I fit comfortably into regular sizes. I used to dread clothes shopping. Now I actually enjoy it!

I'm hoping I get the mental benefits some of you are talking about. Right now it's just blah. I know some people have amazing experiences. I saw someone on the reddits say, "My mental health has improved significantly. My overall mood is unlike any time I can remember." I NEED that!

shedding 20kg in 4 months is solid work. compare and despair kills joy. those before-afters on peptide vendor posts are doctored anyway.
