Last week, I was in the ER convinced I was kicking the bucket. Seriously, thought it was curtains for me, that kind of pain. I was thinking it was a kidney stone, or my pancreas was failing, or some super rare disease doctors had never seen.
They asked me everything, including if I could be pregnant. And I was like, "No way! I have an IUD and haven't been intimate with anyone lately."
Turns out my infection markers were a bit high (I had a nail infection), and there was a tiny bit of blood in my pee. They figured it was a kidney thing, gave me some meds, and sent me home. But the pain stuck around all week, and I was basically planning my funeral.
Then today happened.
I got my period.
The first one in three freakin' years.
I forgot what period cramps feel like. I've lost so much weight my periods are back and I went to the ER for a slightly annoyed uterus.
Somebody send chocolate and a heating pad my way.
Anyone else been blindsided by their period after losing weight?
