Back/hip pain on Tirz - anyone else?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The autoimmune arthritis possibility is worth pursuing with a rheumatologist specifically if back and hip involvement is the primary picture - standard inflammatory markers in bloodwork can miss seronegative forms, and the clinical picture requires a specialist to evaluate properly. This one isn't a wait-and-see situation.

the fat padding loss from the hips and tailbone is the structural change that produces this specific pain - the cushioning that was always there is gone and the bony prominences are now in direct contact with surfaces they were never in contact with before. an occupational therapist is exactly the right referral for this, since the approach is positioning and pressure redistribution rather than pain management. seat cushions, mattress toppers, and padding on the surfaces you sit on most are the practical fixes while the body adapts

Knees better than they had been in 20 years after a couple months on Tirz and wrist pain disappearing at 4 months is the anti-inflammatory pattern that is well-documented but doesn't hit everyone the same way. The OP getting back and hip pain instead of relief is the less common response worth tracking - hydration and dose timing can affect it, but if it's persistent it's worth flagging to the prescriber.

Had surgery on my ACL back around 2006. Two years in now running tirzepatide. Knee still aches whenever it's humid or rainy out. Just sharing my experience. Will update if it improves.

Sorry you've been dealing with more pain lately. Hoping it's just temporary and eases up soon. Really appreciate you sharing what you've been going through!

No, not really a runner. Cardio mostly comes from cycling, walking, and the elliptical. Fairly fit for 46 honestly. Genuinely disappointing feeling those early twinges of pain starting up.

Mine hasn't fully gone since starting all this, but the pain in my bad right foot has dropped a ton. Glad to know I'm not alone dealing with this. And happy for you that you're finally pain free!

Dealt with severe pain in my knees and ankles, along with plantar fasciitis. First ten minutes out of bed each day involved a genuine limp, worse still the morning following a three-mile dog walk, something I aimed for three times a week.

Had arthroscopic surgery years back for a torn meniscus, and during the post-op consult the surgeon told me my knees looked worse than anyone else my age he'd ever examined. Decades of standing on hard industrial surfaces and heavy boots took a real toll. Plenty of accidents and broken bones too.

Even picked my current house specifically because I figured within a few years I'd need to live entirely on one ground floor due to my mobility issues. Assumed that outcome was basically locked in. Genuinely sucks having to plan your life around that.

Started the dual-action medication. Noticed real improvement across both problem areas. Not fully resolved, but noticeably better, maybe forty percent if I had to estimate.

Joined this community, learned about a healing-peptide combination people call the recovery stack. Been running that four months now, daily for one component, twice weekly for the other. Significant additional improvement, maybe eighty percent better overall now.

Stopped that combination five weeks ago after being told taking occasional breaks is wise. Quickly noticed joint pain creeping back, along with f

MY GUESS is that tirz is mainly tackling inflammation, but doing it well. Visibly calmer swelling the way plenty of others report it, face isn't puffy, ankles sit at their normal size, joints bend far more freely, plus I've got noticeably sharper thinking and more get-up-and-go, none of that woozy, flu-like drag and low drive inflammation used to bring on.
WHAT I'M HOPING is that it's doing even more than that. Managing to eat certain foods again, ones that once set off hives, small portions for now, not testing fate, without any reaction has genuinely got me hopeful. Even eased back into structured exercise on purpose, after years spent keeping my pulse strictly under 120 to sidestep triggering a flare.
Running tirz for close to half a year now, starting at 1mg weekly (standard start is 2.5) and slowly climbing to 5mg weekly over the past month. My inflammation keeps improving the higher I go, and as long as side effects stay tolerable I'll keep pushing up. Unfortunately it's tearing my sleep apart, but up to this point it still feels like a fair trade.
