Saw a video rant about how the food industry is designing stuff to negate the effects of GLP-1s to save their bottom line. Anyone else heard about this?

Like the guy in the video says, food companies have been researching this for decades. I don't think there will be any huge breakthroughs soon. Seems like just another clickbait video made to stir people up.

If it's actually happening, it's about the money, obviously. Maybe they should invest in the GLP-1 drugs instead and make money that way?

Yeah, I saw that video too, a bunch of times. He's not really an expert. Just another rage-bait influencer. He took a NYT article that mentioned it and acted like he's the only one who knows about it.

Any video with a green screen and some talking head reading from a script gets an instant scroll from me. 1) Who are you even? 2) Do you know what you're talking about? 3) Can you prove it?

TikTok isn't the worst source of info ever but guys like this are not it. And of course the food industry is watching. They're gonna adapt and sell 'diet' versions that cost twice as much and people will buy it thinking it's healthy.

Exactly. It's a complex issue that requires a multifaceted approach. Medication alone isn't the answer.
