Deal with a digestive condition leaning toward constipation. Going more than a week between bathroom trips honestly isn't rare for me. This medication class hit me hard at the start. Had to approach it from several directions at once. What finally seems to work: three stool softeners, a full gram of magnesium oxide, and two chewable fiber gummies before bed. Every day I drink at minimum sixty-four ounces of water, a protein shake mixed with half a dose of an osmotic laxative, plus another two fiber gummies, and on rougher days I'll add a half-gram more magnesium oxide come morning. If nothing's happened past the four-day mark, I'll reach for a proper laxative. Thankfully hitting that point has become rare these days.
Over the years I've experimented with chia seeds, boosting fiber, various magnesium types, enemas, a prescribed treatment for this condition, dried fruit, basically anything suggested. This particular combination stands alone as the one that's actually kept working, month after month. There's a right formula out there for everyone, so keep experimenting! Down 150 pounds and feel like an entirely different person. It's genuinely a hassle, I know, but pushing through to find what works makes it all worthwhile.
