Hey everyone, I wanted to share some good news! Some of you may recall my earlier posts before January. I took some pictures as I transitioned off the medication since my partner and I are trying to conceive. I honestly thought I'd regain some weight. It's been almost five months now, and surprisingly, I appear even slimmer than I did back then! I've actually lost around 4 more pounds, and honestly, I haven't changed anything drastically. I didn't stick to any strict diet while on or off the meds; I'm basically eating what I want but being mindful of portions. I started recalling what my portion sizes were like before starting sema, and I've been trying to stick to those even when my brain is telling me to eat more. All the research says most people start gaining weight quickly, but that hasn't been the case for me. My thyroid levels were a little high before starting, and losing weight helped bring them to normal. Sema really improved my life, and I feel good moving forward. After we have our kid(s), I'll probably go back on it if I put weight back on during pregnancy, but for now, I'm medication-free, and my waistline hasn't increased. Hopefully, this helps someone who's worried about stopping for any reason – if I had seen this info earlier, it would have reduced my anxiety a lot!
