Coming off sema... what should I expect?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
I use Premier Protein and Muscle Milk shakes mostly, mix in collagen and creatine. Never got into protein bars—texture's off to me. Been thinking about pulling more protein from plants to dial back the fat a bit. Might go back to almond milk and add beans in again.

Muscle loss gets glossed over way too much. Appetite's so suppressed you can barely eat enough to hold muscle, let alone build. Your body doesn't pick between fat and muscle in a big deficit. Lift 3x, hammer the protein even when food sucks, and you'll look way better when the weight drops.

File a claim through USPS - I've tried twice with mixed luck. My local branch tracked one down successfully, but the other went nowhere. Don't count on overseas sellers to handle the filing; puts them in a risky position.

Pharmacist guidance before stopping is worth it. The GI effects have a taper protocol that most people miss.

Taking a full month off usually isn't the best move. Tends to take longer and a higher dose before results start showing up again.

That particular medication has roughly a seven day half-life, meaning about half of it remains active a week later. Fully clearing it from the system would realistically take several weeks.

Worth asking her directly what happens once the medication stops. You likely already understand enough about this compound to predict the consequences of coming off it yourself.

Stopped sema after four months, six weeks at 1mg, felt miserable the whole stretch, moved to mounjaro after that, three weeks at 2.5 then four weeks at 3.75 (yes, went the cautious route). Not sure what comes next, maybe 5mg or higher, but the loss so far is outpacing what wegovy ever managed.
