That said, really try wearing the CPAP nightly. Adjustment happens eventually. If it's genuinely bothering you, might just need a different mask or headgear setup entirely. Sleep apnea itself makes weight loss noticeably harder though. Shed a serious amount of weight once before, and adapting to that machine played a central role in pulling that off. Changed things dramatically for me overall, and I'm closing in on 17 years running one now. Plenty of moments it drives me up the wall, but it's genuinely transformed things for the better too.
Worth digging into why tolerance is an issue and solving that specifically. Plenty of mask and headgear combinations exist depending on sleep position and comfort preferences.
