Down 50+ lbs!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
I started this journey back in March 2025. I was at my highest weight, almost 200lbs at 5'3.5". I don't weigh myself anymore because of past struggles, but I track my progress with pictures, and I'm finally seeing a real difference. The best things about being on this have been quieting the food noise and improving my relationship with alcohol. Congrats on your success!

i stalled 8 lbs from goal for 5 weeks on sema, figured it was stubborn fat. dexa showed 70% water weight from starting creatine. actual fat loss kept tracking fine. check your measurements when the scale freezes.

The comparison to someone else's timeline is always a trap, especially when you don't know what they were running. 4 months into serious goals and building momentum is the right place to be - the 9-month story in the OP is what that looks like given enough time. How's the pace tracking so far and are you finding the approach working?

245 to 194 on the combination stack at 55 and the scale pausing at the current level - the plateau at that combination is the place where the dose question and the diet drift question both need to be looked at simultaneously. The OP at 157 from 210 is the goal-adjacent picture of where the tirz plus reta path can go. How long has the plateau been running and what's appetite like currently?

First raised the question with my physician, and her suggestion landed just below where normal shifts into overweight on the BMI scale. She freely admitted BMI has flaws, but said given my height she'd be thrilled watching me settle around 140, coming down from a starting point in the 180s, with my all-time peak sitting in the low 200s some years back. Kicked this off close to nine months back, ran the smaller amount for the opening two months before moving to 5mg, where I've stayed.

Raised the idea of aiming lower instead, closer to 125-130, and she was on board provided it felt sustainable alongside the habit changes already in motion. Her framing was that the specific number mattered only as far as what it revealed about overall health, labs, blood sugar management, and headspace, real success being wherever I could actually stay long term, given diabetes means this isn't going anywhere for me regardless.

Crossed 130 a couple weeks back and have hovered within a few pounds of it ever since. Right on the edge of that lower target, though also coming to terms with the idea that my body might just want to camp out here instead. Feeling remarkably better across every measure, and honestly a huge piece of this whole ride has been learning to genuinely listen to what my body's signaling, so landing here permanently wouldn't bother me one bit.

Starting point was 340 back in late January, now sitting at 290. That's 50 pounds gone in roughly six months. Currently on 1.7 and things seem to be leveling off, been at this same amount for about three months now.

Blood pressure medication has been part of my life since my twenties, and the numbers have improved somewhat, but I'm really hoping to land closer to 150, I'm 5'8. Still see a decent amount of extra weight I could lose, curious how my blood pressure responds to shedding another 25 pounds or so. Come this far already, might as well push for the optimal number.
