I'm taking 14 mg of oral semaglutide. It's been awesome for more than just my weight. My blood sugar is almost perfect, my blood pressure is great, and my knees don't hurt as much. The only downside is I need a whole new wardrobe. I'm wearing my kid's clothes in the second pic!

I started around 230 back in spring of last year. It's been slow, with some stalls. Switching to lower carbs and taking the stairs more at work has helped. Yesterday I was 172 before eating for the day. After my work holiday bash, I was 174. I'm a contractor and I wear work pants that cost about $80 each. I just got my third set. I went from 36 to 34 to 32 waist. I also had to buy new belts. My Carhartt jackets are too big now. But hey, I'm saving money on food. I have an appointment with my doctor next week. I'm hoping to get off my cholesterol and water retention meds. And, it's nice to get compliments.

You look wonderful! Congratulations on the health gains; that's truly inspiring. Treat yourself to a new wardrobe; there will probably be sales after the holidays! You deserve clothes that fit! :)

We have different body types, but you've achieved what I hope to with this medication. Congrats!

Clothes that don't fit are a sign of success. Time to go shopping and donate the old stuff!
That's how I'm trying to look at it. I'm 5' even and went from 160 to 120. Buying new clothes that actually fit correctly has been a mind trip almost as much as the weight loss itself!

I know what you mean about the pics! I've always hated having my picture taken. Recently, I went to an apple orchard and my friend took some photos. I was dreading seeing them, but I actually liked them! It was a weird feeling.

Even old broke down plumbers still have a little vanity.
Completely understandable. I've dropped 45 pounds so far, and I ran into an old friend while playing racquetball. He said he barely recognized me! Feels good when people notice, even if the scale isn't always moving.

I keep reading about people's "food noise" going away. What exactly does that feel like? I'm only a week in, and I'm not sure I've noticed anything different yet.
