Down 60lbs -- Feeling Great!

I'm feeling so much better - I've dropped 60 pounds in 9 months, went from 186 to 126! I'm staying at 15mg for now. The scale doesn't tell the whole story. I feel healthier, less inflamed, more energetic, and just... lighter. I do have some loose skin. I was almost 300 pounds before my bypass in 2010, so it's expected. I've accepted it for now. Maybe I'll get surgery later. The main thing is, after struggling with my weight forever, I finally feel free. I'm not fighting my body anymore. I'm just living.

Thanks, True_Bro! That's quite an achievement for you too! It's encouraging to hear from others who get it. I was so scared to start, but I'm so glad I did.

I'm just starting out. I'm worried, but I'm desperate. Did you have bad side effects? I keep reading horror stories.
It's different for everyone. Some people have zero issues. Others have nausea or constipation. Stay hydrated and talk to your doctor about concerns. If you had a good diet before I wouldn't expect crazy results, as your diet is already good. But sema can help! Good luck!

60 lbs in 9 months at 15mg staying steady is the long-run result that shows the medication can hold the outcome, not just the drop - the maintenance hold at the same dose is the harder part.

1mg not registering and then 1mg every 3 days finally landing is the dose-frequency lesson that catches a lot of people. The skin sensitivity ceiling is the trade-off that determines the max effective dose for a lot of people. 186 to 126 at 15mg in 9 months is excellent movement. Is the plan to stay at 15 through the new goal or step down to maintenance?
