Down 70+ lbs! Woohoo!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The neutral sitting position adjustment with weight loss is underrated as a functional goal - the weight distribution change means the posture and support pattern the body adapted to no longer fits the new shape. An instructor or physical therapist helping reset the sitting mechanics is a real practical gain.

Yes. Started on a smaller dose and worked up normally. Starting weight in the 230s, goal in the 180s, plateau weight landing somewhere in between. Took over a year total to get there. Began with calorie counting early on. Felt like a stall at times, then I'd see a steady couple pounds weekly again. Hardest part was watching super responders post losing 25 pounds in a month. Slow and steady really does win this race though. Good luck!

Really appreciate the encouragement! Honestly this whole ride's been enjoyable so far. Never expected to become someone who loves the gym! Got pretty comfortable sitting at a high body fat percentage for most of life. But sometimes rough life events end up becoming the actual push needed for real change. Excited to watch progress unfold here too, keep up the great work! Sharing a before and after from this journey so far.

Started right around 110kg too, so this is completely within reach! Would love to eventually get back near 70kg, though last time I hit that I'd lost too much muscle and had visible tendons showing at my neck and arms. Hoping this round goes differently through proper recomposition, finally tackling that stubborn belly fat. Regardless, genuinely grateful for where things stand right now.

Thank you so much!! Started walking way more, daily walks, walking during lunch breaks, parking farther out to rack up steps. Tried gym strength training but it's been hit or miss.

Drinking way more water these days, keep a bottle on me constantly and aim for roughly 2-3 liters daily.

Started logging calories and cut 500 off my TDEE. Protein's the priority since that's what actually keeps hunger away.

Barely drink alcohol anymore. Skip sugary drinks entirely too.

End of the week I usually reward myself with a nice meal, sushi's my go-to, and don't stress much over the calories those days.

Been working hard on building genuinely healthy routines

Welcome! And you're fortunate to have someone walking this same road alongside you!
On muscle loss versus fat loss:
Wish I'd been more consistent about lifting throughout this last year.
Definitely lost real muscle mass since I slacked off, and even though I kept my step count up, simply carrying less overall weight quietly weakened everything. Working on rebuilding that now. Shed 53 pounds, and thinking about hauling that same weight around constantly makes it obvious how different my body's baseline load used to be. Even daily workouts don't fully match up. So holding onto strength is a real challenge. Still sitting around 26% body fat, but under a 22 BMI.
