Down 70lbs, but now what?

Hey guys, been a minute. I'm down just over 70lbs since last summer. It's been pretty smooth, but I did get gallstones. Keep an eye out, I thought it was just the Mounjaro at first but I ended up in the ER twice! Turns out it was just the massive weight loss. Besides that, Mounjaro's been amazing, totally changed my world and my relationship with food. Used to be a total binge eater, now I eat to fuel up.

Winter was rough, caught every bug going around. But when I wasn't sick, I was hitting the gym hard - weights, Pilates, yoga, and about 20k steps every day at work. I haven't been eating enough protein, so I probably didn't keep any muscle. Honestly, I wanna stop Mounjaro soon so I can focus on bulking up. Gotta eat more, which is tough right now. I've been spacing out my doses to help with that. I'd drop the dose or stop completely, but the gallstones are a problem. Eating less keeps the attacks away. I want my gallbladder out, but the NHS isn't rushing that.

It's weird adjusting to my new body. I definitely have body dysmorphia and I've had to get a whole new wardrobe a few times, but I still buy sizes that are too big because I can't believe I'm a medium. Ready for the next phase - building muscle and pushing my fitness limits. This drug has been life-changing.

I remember your first post! I'm so glad it's working out so well for you. Congrats on all the success, you're crushing it with all that exercise too. I'm entering maintenance and want to build muscle myself 🤞

Thanks! It takes serious strength to stick with it while dealing with health stuff. I hope things get better so you feel as great as you look! You look incredible, btw!

Congratulations! You look fantastic. You kept your curves too, which is my goal (though I could use more 🍑)

Sorry to hear about the health problems though. It's something that needs more discussion, especially since this drug is prescribed to many with disordered eating, little nutrition knowledge, and no understanding that rapid weight loss can be unhealthy.

What's your current dose, and when did you notice the weight loss really kick in? Or was it steady the whole time?

For anyone experiencing nausea, try some ginger ale or peppermint tea. Also, small, bland meals can help settle your stomach.
