Face slimming first, anyone?

It's been almost three months since I began, and I've shed about 16 pounds. My clothes are a tad roomier, which is nice.

But my face looks so much thinner, and I'm not sure I like it. I'm worried about how I'll look if I lose much more weight.

Has anyone else experienced most of their fat loss happening in their face?

From my experience, about 8-12 lbs equals one size difference when you're in the slightly overweight range. If you're noticing your clothes are looser after 16lbs, that sounds right on target! And losing that much since December is a solid pace.

I barely noticed any changes in my face to start with. I began in July and around October, I'd only dropped maybe 20lbs. Then I hit a higher dose and was sick for a day each week. Stayed there for a few months. The weight came off quickly. Stopped getting sick and kept losing at an even higher dose. I'm down 80lbs now! No side effects anymore when I inject. I eat basically whatever I want but in tiny amounts! I'm not advising this for everyone, but my progress was initially slow as well.

I'm losing it everywhere *except* my face, and that's the main reason I started this stuff! I don't care about the rest of my body.

I guess we need to be patient lol

Same here! Down almost 35lbs. My face is noticeably thinner, and my pants are too loose (but not enough to go down a size). My stomach, which is my biggest area, doesn't seem to have changed at all yet!

I’ve lost nearly 40lbs over the last few months, but my hands and wrists are the only place it's really obvious. My wedding ring now just falls off, and I've had to remove links from all my watches.

I'm taking a similar med, and I noticed yesterday that my under-face area looks trimmer. I think we just look at our faces more than our bodies, so it's easier to spot the changes.

I'm down 24lbs, and there's definitely a difference in my face. My clothes are looser, and the measuring tape suggests elsewhere too, but I'm quite overweight, so it's more noticeable in my face. I'm going to have major jowls when all this is over because of genetics and the fat loss.

Ozempic face is real tho and can happen to older women especially after menopause when they lose weight and the skin doesn’t bounce back, it’s much more wrinkly than it was pre-weight loss. Filler is not a fix, face/neck lift is the only option to get rid of the extra skin.
I guess it can happen to anyone, but it's more likely if you're older.

“ozempic face” is just a cringe moral panic over the dilution of the social capital thin people enjoy
and I kind of agree. I think a lot of people are jealous that it's easier to lose weight now.

Face and neck are often the first visible change - the fat there redistributes faster than the abdomen. At 16 lbs the hollow look can feel jarring before the body composition shifts more evenly.
