Fake weight loss drugs?! 😳

These people are making it harder for the rest of us. I'm waiting for a particular vendor with a distinct color scheme to get shut down. His channel has a ton of followers. It'll only take one bad reaction for the authorities to crack down. Every time something like this happens, prices increase and finding reliable sources becomes difficult.

Are we positive it was a bogus batch of sema?

Or did she just take a massive amount? Like, ten times the recommended dosage?

I'm not sure if they're labeling all semaglutide as "counterfeit Ozempic" or if she explicitly told the "victim" it was Ozempic and labeled it as such. From a legal standpoint, calling it counterfeit is misleading unless it's the latter. I know of a source where you can order product boxes that say Ozempic, Mounjaro, or whatever you desire. Either way, I suspect it was user error. Look at all the people that ask basic questions because they don't bother to do their research. Maybe one of our legal members can weigh in. This is just my opinion based on my background.

I swear, I'm becoming more and more libertarian every year.

I think everyone's comments are valid (big pharma is profiting, people are clueless, this is inevitable).

However, news stories aren't 'organic' anymore, so I always question their motives. Why this particular story? What's the goal of the fear-mongering? What feelings are they trying to manipulate? People die every day from preventable tragedies. Ice cream, for example! Commercial ice cream machines have been prone to listeria outbreaks, and people get sick and even die. And some of those manufacturers are repeat offenders (thanks, FDA).

These stories pave the way for government crackdowns and the elimination of health and wellness freedom, with most people blindly supporting it.

I've eaten street food in various countries and never gotten sick, but I've had food poisoning twice from inspected restaurants that was as bad as what these coffee shop customers experienced.
Life is all "buyer beware."

Also, won't a few scary stories discourage casual users from going that route? I think that's just how life works.

Wow. I have a relatively high tolerance for risk, but I would NEVER sell research peptides for profit, even if I tested them. You can't trust people to do the math correctly. When they take ten times the normal dose (I agree, that's probably what happened here), they'll want to blame someone. No, thank you. I'm content getting them at a low cost for myself.
