Feeling good in my clothes again!

I've struggled with my weight since I was a teenager. I hit my heaviest, around 220 pounds, in my early 30s. I'm in my 40s now, down to about 190, and I started on weight loss injections about a month ago. I haven't felt good about how I look in clothing since college. I always go for clothes that hide everything, like really big shirts and sweaters. I went shopping with a friend because my pants were getting loose, and I wanted to find some things that actually fit. I grabbed a few things in smaller sizes, even a cute top, and tried them on. I was shocked that I'm down two sizes! It's so strange to hate your body and feel stressed when trying on new clothes. I still have more to lose, but I'm getting there.

Basically, I'm starting to feel good about myself and my clothes again.

I totally get it. As a guy, I do the same thing. I'm always thinking about what I can wear to hide my body.

Even after a few weeks on this medicine, I feel less bloated and puffy. I’m excited to do like you, because you look so happy and truly great!! Good 👏 job 👏!!

You look so much younger! What's your secret? Haha! Seriously, congrats, you look amazing, no need to feel insecure!

You're doing great! I was in the same boat, using the same strategies. I've reached my goal now and I'm loving getting rid of all the big clothes.

I'm keeping a few items to remind me of how far I've come, because I still get body dysmorphia sometimes. When it happens, I can put on the old stuff and remember.

I've been hearing some people experience increased anxiety after starting semaglutide. Has anyone else had that? Like,

Any type of stomach upset can make anxiety worse. If you already have anxiety, it'll just make it even worse.

I've also heard about people losing weight quickly and then not liking how they look. They get to their goal weight and feel "deflated." You have to lift weights!

Yep, you gotta work out and get enough protein! You lose muscle when you lose weight, so you need to build it back up. Otherwise, you'll just look skinny-fat.
