Finally hit ONE-derland! Woot!

Thanks for the congrats! And congratulations to you, Quinn72, on your amazing progress!

I've found my goals have shifted as I've gone along this journey.

At first, I was just desperate. Then I started setting smaller, achievable goals. Scale weight is just one measure.

Breaking through 215 was huge for me - that's when I went from "obese" to "overweight".

Now? I'm eyeing "normal weight". Maybe 180? But honestly, just feeling *normal* is the real prize.

Thank you!!! It's so weird to be at this weight again. It's been close to 3 decades. Loving the journey.

I don't think I've been under 200 in... yeah, about 30 years. Or longer, LOL!

And yes, I'm loving it too. I went to a pool party recently - wore a new swimsuit - and didn't feel self-conscious at all. HUGE non-scale victory!

Full disclosure: that’s my new swimsuit but that’s not actually my new torso 😬

I think I get what you mean, Sis. As the weight comes off, my mood has improved too. I'm lighter, more playful, less focused on problems and appearances. At my age, it's a welcome change. These meds have really transformed my life.

I was roughly half the weight I once was - over 300 lbs easy. Managed to lose it years ago with high protein, intermittent fasting, and weightlifting... bodybuilder style. Started GLP-1s for my diabetes, which worsened as I aged because my beta cells burned out. Never thought my diabetes would worsen *after* losing all that weight. Probably the high protein intake was hard on my pancreas. Now also on insulin, but the GLP-1 helps me lower my insulin needs and calms my food cravings, which is such a relief.

That's amazing progress! If you're not very large, that weight loss might be too fast. I dropped around 30 pounds the first month, but I was quite big and it was mostly excess fluid. Make sure you get enough protein and do strength training to maintain your muscle mass and prevent hair loss.
