Finally preggo after Ozempic!

I'm 36, struggled with PCOS and type 2 for ages, and honestly thought having a baby was just a dream. I wished and prayed, but kinda gave up. This year, in March, my doctor suggested Ozempic for my diabetes and to help me shed some pounds. It regulated my periods almost immediately, like within a month or two.

Well, about 9 months later, I'm down almost 75 pounds - and pregnant! I'm stopping the Ozempic now, of course, but I really feel like this med has changed everything. More energy, better self-esteem, a healthier body, and now the possibility of being a mom. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly and my body is strong enough for this.

I got pregnant on Mounjaro after a long struggle too! And get this - it was twins! They're almost a year old now.

That's incredible! Huge congrats! I'm 35 and still figuring out my family plans. Working on losing weight now to be healthier if I do decide to try in the next few years.

Congratulations!! My little one, conceived while I was on Ozempic, just turned one last week. And I'm now 16 weeks pregnant with my second 'Ozempic baby'.

I have Pcos and had been diagnosed with infertility. Ozempic along with my bc made me so sick I had to ditch the pill.

Congratulations! Me too! PCOS since I was 16, now 36, no diabetes though. Started Oz in June '23 and stopped this past February after loosing around 45 lbs. Had a medicated cycle with a trigger shot and got pregnant right away. Our eleven-month-old miracle is napping right now.

Would love to get back on Oz, but since I don't have diabetes, my insurance won't cover it, and they don't cover weight loss meds either. Ozempic felt like it leveled the playing field for me; my hard work was finally paying off. Still got about 55 lbs to go.

CONGRATS! My Oz baby was born in January '25. She’s absolutely perfect, super amazing, and well on her way to becoming the crazy toddler of my dreams.

As for me? I’m back on Mounjaro and feeling good about where I’m headed. Parenthood is... a lot, but I was so glad to restart on a GLP-1 when the time was right for me.

Wishing you all the best, Mix_Babe!

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

I'm not sure they accept people who were on Ozempic (even though it's the same medication), but you might think about joining the https://wegovypregnancyregistry.com/, which is collecting data to help pregnant people in the future get info about the safety of semaglutide.

That's awesome! I'm hoping Mounjaro helps with hot flashes too! I've been in perimenopause for a while and the hot flashes have been awful. Maybe the weight loss helps?

Wondering if your reaction came from microbiome shifts after noro. I had serious GI stuff for weeks I thought was the med but turned out to be sema plus mold exposure. Once I ditched my moldy water bottle, the puking stopped. Maybe your gut just needs time.
