GLP-1 and insomnia?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
so much more energy now—this stuff was draining me. plus my head's clearer, brain fog's gone lol. also losing more when i'm on it. read it helps metabolism. and my skin looks great, though i think that's partly the other stuff i'm cycling.

I'm exactly the same - three years, 20 percent down, same height and weight. I'm older and diabetic too. work out four days a week but diet could be better. sleep's usually solid. sometimes I think I hit a set point I was at for years. studies say 20 percent for a reason.

The point about trying to sleep while genuinely hungry on every previous diet attempt is worth comparing to insomnia on the medication. For people who've had sleep issues while dieting before, the GLP-1 version might actually be better - the hunger signal that disrupts sleep is gone. Zero problems across any GLP is a useful data point.

Anxiety disorder was under control for me before glp1 without meds, but now I get wild nightmares every night and sleep badly, so my doc gave me a low dose of clonazepam for nights I can't drop off. Exercise eases the everyday anxiety but sleep still isn't great. I'm staying on glp1 though, the good outweighs the anxiety for now.

Interesting about the sleep issue. Several months of low-dose sema for me, and sleep was my sole complaint. I'd sleep, but it never felt deep.

I've been on semaglutide because the end of January and it certainly gives me insomnia. I wake in the frankly middle of the night & can't fall asleep again. It's not listed as a side effect but people have reported it. Beyond eating light at night I have no fix, but I relate. I take over the frankly counter sleep aids.
