Here's my plan (no personal experience yet, just my strategy):
I've been on 2–4 mg of tirzepatide alongside TRT for 3 months. It's been very effective—I'm looking very lean. I'm not bragging; I've been working out hard for years but had muscle covered by 22% body fat (DEXA). Now I'm at 12%.
That leads to my physique goals: I think this should be based on DEXA body fat. Once I'm at 9% (around January 1st), I'll taper off and refeed with maintenance calories +300–400. (Macros are key.) I'll do this for 3 months while on an anabolic cycle (Test and Deca from a doc). I'm 45, and this phase involves eating a lot, so hunger won't be an issue. After 3 months, I'll be around 12–15% body fat, but with more lean mass. I’ll have been off GLPs for 3 months.
Then I’ll restart with reta and slowly cut back to 10% for summer, maintaining it with what I think will be about 2 mg of reta weekly. This lets me take a break when I want to eat more of the right foods. Edit: I plan to do this for years while my labs are good. So, I would be tapering on and off GLPs twice a year at low doses. I'm strict with my diet.
