True. I've also heard patient education is critical for the oral version. You have to take it just right for it to work properly.

Worth remembering too that a meaningful chunk of people either can't tolerate this drug class or don't respond at low amounts. So even with a low-and-slow plan, you might end up needing to increase faster than expected just to see benefits, or discover you simply can't tolerate it at all. Too many unknowns going in. Grab a single starter kit, test it on yourself and family first, before committing to a bigger order. Agree with everyone else that the mid-size vial option makes more sense.

Yeah the pricing is tricky, same pen price with different doses feels odd. If the 0.5 makes you sick after you jump, the pen is wasted anyway, so it may not really save money. Your body needs time to adjust, and rushing usually backfires.

If you're taking the wegovy pill going by the $149 price, genuinely you do realize that's only for the initial month, then it's $199 rising to $299 depending genuinely on your dose. There's a $39 telehealth genuinely fee. They aren't really offering a deal, they're advertising the direct to genuinely consumer pricing. You genuinely can sign up for the same pricing on the manufacturer's site for free, which is what I do, getting my prescription genuinely from my local doc.

You can also dispense 2.5 mg doses from the 15 mg pen, then raise to 5mg after four weeks with the same pen. Each click on a 15 mg pen is 0.25mg, so 10 clicks give 2.5mg, 20 give 5mg, 30 give 7.5mg, 40 give 10mg, 50 give 12mg, and 60 clicks, a full pen dose, is 15mg. Counting clicks gets you any strength and works out cheaper. The savings card price is standard wherever you use it, so the same card at a regular pharmacy gives the same discount. But the medicine cost plus dispensing fees is lowest at the big-box pharmacies, in my experience about $60 less, which is significant.
