GLP-1 users eating MORE chocolate?

Hey everyone, did you hear? People using weight loss meds are eating even more divine, smooth chocolate! The kind that makes your soul sing!

Edit: Crap. Wrote that, and now I want a box of Godivas. Facepalm.

I don't buy it. I used to love dark chocolate, but I have not wanted any in a while. It's just not appealing anymore. I also don't consider Lindt to be amazing chocolate. Just passing on all of it.

Dark chocolate, more than 70% cocoa, in small amounts like 25 grams is alright, and it isn't addictive to me. Lindt is too pricey at $6 USD for 3.5oz. I don't understand how people on GLP-1s can eat more chocolate than when they were binging multiple blocks a week, like before.

Oh wow, yes! Way more chocolate. I did not crave it before but now I want it always. Not good for me! I'm switching from semaglutide to tirzepatide. Hoping that will control the cravings better!

The low-fat people will disagree, but very dark chocolate (85%+) is healthy (aside from the heavy metal concerns). Even without GLPs, you can't overeat it. Also its fat profile has a lot of stearic acid.

I have never liked chocolate. Just don't care. But I am struggling with cinnamon rolls at the moment. Roommate brought home a box of them, and I swear they're calling me.

The research is probably skewed, but the article was in Reuters, so I figured there was some validation. I suspect it's just Lindt hoping people think GLP-1 users are somehow buying more chocolate and that their chocolate is somehow high-end. Most reports are that food sales are down because of GLP-1s.

I thought the same. A lot of the food companies are seeking alternatives. I just don't see it. How do you market to someone who is happy with just celery and a chicken thigh for supper?

I think Lindt might be right.

At first I thought it was nonsense but Lindt makes premium chocolate. Many of us used to scarf down cheap snacks. Now that we don't have a voice screaming "eat everything," we can spend more on better quality.

That's not my experience. I don't want sweets much, and I can't stand soda now. I have a farm stand, so I bake all the time. Great recipes, all homemade, you name it. I don't even lick the spoon anymore.

So, are you saying that GLP users buy chocolate more often than the rest of the population, even after they start the meds?

People who have trouble limiting sweets still want what they love while dieting?

I don't believe it. I began Reta a couple of months ago. I haven't had chocolate, candy, ice cream, or anything sweet.

Chocolate used to destroy my diet. Chocolate and Ben & Jerry's. I have not wanted some, but I never got it and did not feel like I had to. So, I disagree, Lindt.
