GLP-1s: A Mental AND Physical Shift?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Realizing weight affects both your head and your heart is huge. I'm glad you're getting support from folks who actually understand instead of people telling you to just stop eating.

That 80lb loss is seriously impressive and inspiring to see. My doc said that big drops like this hit you mentally as much as physically. Both changes matter equally for long-term success.

At my goal weight now. Thinking 1mg twice weekly without food noise is the sweet spot. Got TRT going so protein and lifting is the focus.

wegovy isn't that bad price-wise tbh. costco runs about $420 even at top dose, and you can stack their savings card for another $100+ off the starter pens. ozempic is literally the same ingredient—ask your doc to prescribe semaglutide and let the pharmacy pick the cheapest option for your insurance.

Wait, you're that age?? Genuinely impressive, whatever you're doing clearly works. Even with your face blurred out it's obvious how young you look these days. For me this is strictly a diabetes thing, not weight loss, ironically it's actually caused some weight gain on my end, but I'm sticking with it because the diabetes benefits have been really promising so far. You look absolutely fantastic though.

I'm 63, and staying on a GLP medication in some form to manage my obesity for the remainder of my life honestly doesn't faze me. Most folks my age are on something permanent anyway. Plenty of sixty-somethings deal with far worse.

You're twenty and dealing with this same disease. Bad food habits, laziness, or being sedentary don't just add up to 320 pounds on their own. It's a medical condition, not something you chose. An unlucky hand you were dealt. Nobody labeled it a disease sooner because doctors had nothing real to offer before now. Being twenty, how do you feel about the possibility of managing obesity with medication for another six or seven decades? I try picturing what I'd have done at your age and honestly draw a blank. My own struggles didn't really surface until my thirties. Curious to hear where your head's at.
