Same here, I was in good shape when younger. Even then, eating when hungry and stopping when not, my body was slow to say it was full, so calories piled up unless I exercised heavily, and I still walked around hungry all day to hold my weight down. Later, running 20+ miles seriously a week and heavy lifting became impossible with osteoarthritis in both knees & my right hip, plus an inguinal hernia fixed with mesh. Now it's only elliptical work and light weights. My weight climbed until my A1c reached 6.5 in May & my doctor prescribed Mounjaro. Started May 26th, & for the FIRST time ever my body tells me earlier in a meal that I'm full. Weight is dropping, I still eat what I like, just less, slightly fewer carbs, riding the appetite reduction.
