Happy Fathers Day, though every day deserves gratitude since none of us know which comes last. Hard story, here goes.
Four years back I attempted suicide, started eating heavily to cope, weight climbed fast, activity dropped to nothing, no job, no biking, no walking, even a short walk dropping my daughter off left me winded.
Carried a deep phobia around shirts off in front of others, even hospital heart visits made me tear up, not from pain but dread of a nurse seeing me, uncomfortable even with partners.
Then I found this community, and the support meant everything.
Today brought light I did not think I would feel again, fifty eight pounds down in fourteen weeks, walking daily, cycling twenty to thirty km twice weekly, mental health healed on reta and tirz. Never looking back.
