GLP-1s: A New Lease on Life!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Two years into fitness and the progress is clear. Just getting going honestly. This discipline opened doors I didn't expect - new chances, growth everywhere, stronger mindset each day. Building all this for my family.

Happy birthday!! Seventy pounds over three years and a healthier liver - that is the whole package right there. This is what this community is for. You are absolutely thriving!

Happy Fathers Day, though every day deserves gratitude since none of us know which comes last. Hard story, here goes.

Four years back I attempted suicide, started eating heavily to cope, weight climbed fast, activity dropped to nothing, no job, no biking, no walking, even a short walk dropping my daughter off left me winded.

Carried a deep phobia around shirts off in front of others, even hospital heart visits made me tear up, not from pain but dread of a nurse seeing me, uncomfortable even with partners.

Then I found this community, and the support meant everything.

Today brought light I did not think I would feel again, fifty eight pounds down in fourteen weeks, walking daily, cycling twenty to thirty km twice weekly, mental health healed on reta and tirz. Never looking back.

Catching this late, but genuinely impressive, hard to imagine the discipline behind results like that. Great to see the health numbers moving in the right direction too. Well done.

I went back and added my eating habits since I realized that matters a lot with this drug class.

Exercise is genuinely rough for me. Dealing with a moderate-to-serious case of asthma that first showed up after a Covid infection back in 2021. Medicated for it, which helps to a degree. Struggle with anything intense fitness-wise, but I've been finding alternative ways to stay active. Work in IT at a hospital, so I'm already covering a lot of ground through the building, averaging somewhere between 8,500 and 12,000 steps most days.

At home I lean toward fun, low-pressure movement. Sounds a bit silly, I know, but I'm really into a VR rhythm game that requires a ton of arm motion, plus the occasional dance game. Probably not enough on its own, but it's something I can comfortably do without triggering breathing issues.
