Well, I called it quits at work and now I'm keeping a close eye on how much this stuff is costing me. I'm getting it without insurance, so I've only been taking half the dose prescribed each month. I've got a good supply built up that should last for a while. Hopefully prices come down. My blood pressure and cholesterol are both much better... the doc was on my back about those. I'm back to lifting weights and trying to get back some muscle, but at 67, I'm keeping it real. 5'8" Started at 220, down to 160.

I totally agree with @GutCrew, it can be tough, but possible! I've been on semaglutide since Feb '25, started at 170 and now weigh 130. My goal is 125. It's about more than just the weight, it's about getting back to living a full life!

It's important to remember that these medications aren't a magic bullet. They can be extremely helpful, but lifestyle changes like diet and exercise are still crucial for long-term success. As @HungryNoMore_24 mentioned, it's about overall health, not just a number on the scale.

I was into exercise before I ever touched GLP-1, and dropping 30 lbs naturally felt amazing. The med is just helping me lean out faster. If down the road studies say these are problematic long-term, I'll reassess, but for now they're tools that work when I need them.
