My MIL just won't stop commenting on my weight. Any advice?

I'm so sorry you're dealing with that! Some people are just...difficult. I'd suggest saying something like, "I'm working with my doctor on this, and I'm not comfortable discussing it further." Set a boundary and stick to it!

Wish I could take it. As a type 2 diabetic, creatine pushes my creatinine levels up and stresses my kidneys, so that's off the table for me.

awesome. added creatine a month ago to my routine while lifting. glad to hear good results. hope you're feeling great too. cheers!

Stay hydrated, eat your baseline calories, stack the protein and fiber, get real sleep. started creatine recently and feel way sharper—ask your doc first tho, especially if you've got kidney stuff or elevated creatinine.

the problem isn't the sugar, it's the insulin your body needs to keep it down. insulin messes with everything else. i'm on the ss31/mots-c/nad+ stack now for mitochondrial stuff because my fasting sugar's low but insulin's high.

This is wonderful! Thanks for being an inspiration! I'm just starting my path. Hate that you felt pressured to quit but you're maintaining well regardless. Gives me confidence I won't depend on it forever.

500-700 calorie deficit works for most. track rolling 7-day averages though — day to day noise is useless. going from surplus to deficit? water weight swings like crazy. and faster loss usually means more muscle goes with it.

I stack mag glycinate and melatonin at night. Glycine same time if I add it. Then a handful of vitamins after my first meal. Creatine I try to time before the gym.

Body comp tracking from day one is the right call here - the data makes the muscle retention case that the scale alone misses.

Kicked this off just over a year back on glp1. Only dropped 9 pounds total that whole year BUT went from size 10 jeans down to a size 4. Started lifting weights right alongside starting the medication. Didn't want muscle loss, plus I'm at the stage in life where building muscle really matters. Thrilled with how everything's turned out.

I use Lose It too, for weight! I've logged with varying consistency for around eleven years, and the upward stretches line up with stressful events, like bad jobs, injuries, selling a house. Lifetime membership was worth it. When I logged food and macros, the recipe and saved-food features felt intuitive. Unlike most here, heavy personal tracking isn't my thing. I wish it were, since I adore data, mine and everyone else's, but it can feed ED behavior for me. I step on the scale on shot day plus a day or two earlier so I'm mentally ready for the official weekly number, which lands in a few apps. Monthly loss goes into my huge multi-sheet Peptide spreadsheet, along with purchases, test results, actual vs projected losses, wishlists, inventory, doses, cycles and costs.
