Gonna stop cold turkey! Help!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
61 shots in and I've got 14 left to lose but only dropped half a pound in 5 weeks. Food cravings came back so I bumped to 20 last shot instead of 15. Huge difference—cravings are gone now. Tried 17.5 before and felt nothing different than 15. Starting to wonder if I'll need to keep climbing with the dose.

Lost 30.7kg in 6 months on mounjaro 2.5mg alone. Zero side effects. Food noise completely gone—such freedom. Eating 1600-1900 cal/day, jogging 3x weekly, strength training, regular walks. Goal's 90kg but still got ways to go.

started 288, now 245 as of today. november 15 to now. tirzepatide 2.5mg month 1, 5mg month 2, 7.5mg since. losing 1lb a week consistent so not upping dose yet.

titrated down since hitting goal at 15mg. got to 5mg a month ago, dropped to 3.75, and hunger roared back - gained 8 lbs fast. back up to 5 now. starting to think i need this forever instead of tapering off.

700 calories is way too low. force some protein shakes, drop your dose or take a break. muscle loss is no joke with this stuff

Incremental titration up is exactly the right approach when the response has plateaued. 5mg to 6mg with a week at each is reasonable. The OP stopping after 130 lbs is a different situation - the cold turkey question after that kind of extended use is real. A gradual taper is usually better than stopping abruptly.

1mg and targeting 1kg per week is a reasonable plan if the appetite side is still controlled at that dose. The 130 lbs in the OP and considering stopping cold is the risky version - the regain data on stopping is consistent enough that the cost conversation is worth having about a lower maintenance dose rather than a complete stop.

The taper schedule outlined rather than cold turkey is the right approach for someone who has been on a high dose - the gradual step-down gives the system time to adjust rather than a hard withdrawal. 243 at 21% body fat with a 20-25 lb goal is a reasonable and achievable endpoint.

Starting at 2.5mg and hoping to stay at the lowest effective dose is the right mindset going in. The OP's 130 lbs over two years and considering stopping cold is the situation where the cost argument for maintenance at a lower dose is worth doing the math on. 66kg as a starting weight means the goal is probably closer than it feels.
