Nine months on Mounjaro and I finally made it to my ideal weight! I've dropped 75 lbs total. My starting BMI was around 36, and now it's 25. I was losing about 1.5-2 lbs each week.
I've always been an emotional eater, and I've done so many yo-yo diets. Before, if I lost weight, it was done in unhealthy ways, and even when I was thin, I wasn't healthy.
For the three years before starting Mounjaro, I really focused on getting stronger and fitter, not just skinnier. I worked out regularly, tracked my calories, and chose healthier foods, but the weight wouldn't budge until I added Mounjaro. My blood pressure is also way better, down from stage 1 hypertension to normal, and my migraines are nearly gone too.
I did 4 weeks at 2.5mg; 18 weeks at 5mg; 2 weeks at 7.5mg; and the last 13 weeks at 10mg. I work out almost every day—weights, some cardio, and pilates. Now I want to increase my strength, add more muscle, and maintain my weight.
