Hit my goal after 9 months!

Nine months on Mounjaro and I finally made it to my ideal weight! I've dropped 75 lbs total. My starting BMI was around 36, and now it's 25. I was losing about 1.5-2 lbs each week.

I've always been an emotional eater, and I've done so many yo-yo diets. Before, if I lost weight, it was done in unhealthy ways, and even when I was thin, I wasn't healthy.

For the three years before starting Mounjaro, I really focused on getting stronger and fitter, not just skinnier. I worked out regularly, tracked my calories, and chose healthier foods, but the weight wouldn't budge until I added Mounjaro. My blood pressure is also way better, down from stage 1 hypertension to normal, and my migraines are nearly gone too.

I did 4 weeks at 2.5mg; 18 weeks at 5mg; 2 weeks at 7.5mg; and the last 13 weeks at 10mg. I work out almost every day—weights, some cardio, and pilates. Now I want to increase my strength, add more muscle, and maintain my weight.

Great job. My start weight was around 235. I'm aiming for below 200. I started maybe a month ago. Floating around 227-230. Did you change your diet?

Hey Wes_19! Yeah, I focused on eating whole foods, hitting my protein goals, and staying in a calorie deficit. I used a TDEE calculator to figure out my calorie needs and tracked my macros. It was important to me to focus on balanced nutrition. I stayed away from processed garbage.

I'm down 50lbs since starting sema last year. The biggest difference I've noticed is how my clothes fit. I had this dress I sewed, and it was my first time making anything like that. I tried it on today, and I couldn't believe how big it was! Really happy to see progress and thankful I can afford this medication. The only downside is fatigue, which can be pretty bad sometimes. I want to keep losing weight!

That's fantastic, Zara_79. The fatigue is a common side effect of GLP-1s. Make sure you're staying hydrated and getting enough electrolytes. Consider talking to your doctor about managing the side effects.

I hit a new milestone! I'm under 300 lbs! It’s been like 10 years since I've seen a number that starts with a two!
