So, a few years back, I had a body composition analysis, and the results showed I was carrying around 80 extra pounds of fat. When I started taking semaglutide, I honestly didn't set a specific weight as my target, but I figured if I could shed those 80 lbs, that would be a major victory. And guess what? Today's the day I reached that milestone!

I wanna give a shout-out to everyone in this group because the info here helped me so much before I even started. I really appreciate all the shared experiences, tips, and encouragement. I jumped on the recommended lifestyle changes right away and barely had any negative side effects, just some minor constipation at first, and recently a couple of low blood sugar incidents (oops, forgot to eat!). But overall, it's been a fantastic experience!
I'm eating way smaller portions now, having mini-meals throughout the day, focusing on getting enough protein and nutrient-rich foods, upping my fiber intake, and chugging water with electrolytes. Plus, I'm lifting weights at least 3 times a week and doing at least 30 mins of cardio daily (walking, elliptical, or biking). I'm in the best physical shape of my life, and I'm expecting my blood work to be perfect for the first time ever. No more risk of fatty liver!
My mental health has improved significantly! I've kicked binge eating and compulsive shopping to the curb. I feel incredible! Feeling good has always been my priority, and looking good is a sweet bonus.
Now what do I do?! I'm still taking my 2.4 mg shot every week. Right now, I'm focusing on building muscle rather than losing more weight. If I gain a pound or two as muscle mass increases, so be it. I just want to feel strong, healthy, and full of energy! I'll probably stay on this medication as long as I'm feeling good, not losing too much more weight, and my insurance keeps covering it. I've even thought about switching to a shot every other week, but I'm not sure yet.
Anyway, huge thanks to this awesome community for everything!
