How long til you met your goals?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
I do 15mg Thursdays, 4.5mg Saturdays (I've got 0.5ml syringes). Works but I've always been able to override hunger signals—we're in a buffet culture where everyone's huge. Doctors try to add years and quality but something gets all of us eventually. Never smoked so I figure cancer's coming, but weight loss takes stroke off the table at least.

Meeting the first goal at 10 weeks is unusually fast and worth pausing to note - that's the high responder end of the curve. Having a plan for the maintenance phase before you arrive is what separates the people who hold it from the ones who don't. What does the post-goal picture look like?

The T2D factor is a real moderator of the response rate - insulin resistance at the systemic level puts an active brake on fat mobilization that the medication has to work against. The 20% over 3 years while T2D is in the picture is actually a reasonable outcome; the ceiling on each dose may just be lower when glycemic control is the competing demand.

The lean loss percentage stat is actually the most informative part of the weight loss data that almost nobody tracks. Under 25% lean loss is the target and most people have no idea where they land on it. Running the macro with protein targets and resistance work is what moves that needle.

the 0.25mg every 10 days as a maintenance structure is an interesting approach for people who want to stay in the system at the lowest active dose while holding weight rather than continuing to lose. the idea that extended time in calorie maintenance improves long-term outcome is consistent with the metabolic adaptation data - the body needs time to reset the defended weight point rather than just reaching a number and stopping

Sure, it's really just definitions, but at some point everyone on this GLP-1 path has to pin down what their goal weight actually is, and figure out some rule for setting it.
Sure, you could choose to remain on the medication for a stretch, say a year, without any specific number in mind and just watch what happens, but personally that doesn't feel like a solid approach to me.
Having an actual target keeps me focused and pushes me to adjust my habits when needed.

When I first got started I set my target at 80kg, roughly a 40kg total drop, over a two-year window.
Nine months in and I'm behind where I hoped to be, over the last couple of months the loss has slowed down more than expected, so now I'm trying to figure out some way to shake things up.

Started May 20th myself, so right around the same time.
Looking at percentage of weight lost is actually the more accurate way to compare. I'm under 1%, would need to work it out week by week to be precise.

Tons of chatter in this thread, but the key takeaway for the original poster: with or without a GLP-1RA, the rate of loss naturally slows the closer you get to your target weight. That's expected, not any kind of failure on your part or the medication's. Losing more than a pound a week this near the finish line is genuinely something to be excited about.
