I try to get enough water, but sometimes I need some flavor to make it interesting. I've been using those electrolyte packets, but they're expensive. What does everyone else use to stay hydrated?
 
I grab whichever electrolyte powder is on sale. Alani Nu and Celsius are good. Lately, I've been making chia seed water – sometimes I use juice instead of water. And Diet Dr. Pepper is my guilty pleasure. Also clear protein drinks, whatever is the cheapest.
 
Soak 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in 2 cups of water for a few hours. Flavor it right before drinking. Or, soak them directly in juice. It’s full of fiber and makes you feel full. It can be a strange texture at first. It is kinda slimy.
 
That is close to what I do. In the morning I mix a bag of Irish Breakfast tea with a little over 1tb of flax seeds, a low dose of methylene blue and a little stevia. Throughout the day I drink plain water, and before I exercise I'll mix a little dosage of electrolyte and collagen with methylene blue.
 
I buy those sugar-free water flavoring packets from the store and mix them into a big bottle of water. It adds just enough flavor to make it interesting without being too much.
 
I see them like tapioca, as they thicken the drink. In hot tea, they're ready faster. In a shake I like about 15 min. My evening meal is often whey, almond milk, and 2tb chia seeds, which makes it more filling. I will also add them to coconut water when I'm traveling because they soak up the flavor.
 
I like a light iced tea as a drink to sip throughout the day. I use a decaf Constant Comment, just a bit of concentrate in ice water. It has very little flavor, but it's enough for me.
 
I can't stand plain water.

I like Venture pal better than the leading brand. Strawberry & watermelon are my go-to. The leading brand goes on sale at Costco.

I bought a clear protein from a big box store. Watermelon is good.. and no bad taste.

I also drink the brand sold at Aldi... black cherry, lime, strawberry...

I use Stur watermelon/strawberry.

And I don't care about artificial sweeteners. Everything else is gross.
 
When I started restricting calories, I switched to black coffee, but now I use a vanilla protein shake as cream in the afternoon. Other than coffee, I drink a lot of water and sometimes an electrolyte drink or coconut water. And a couple of nights a week, a whiskey with diet cola.
 
I've seen that clear protein at the store but never tried it. I can get tired of overly sweet protein shakes. The Fairlife ones are okay. Is that clear protein thick and sweet?
