Hi everybody!
I began using Oz back in January of last year. I was super nervous at first, but this group was great. I remember checking this forum a ton before my initial dose. Your encouragement helped me finally do it. Thank you! I'm now down about 75 pounds, currently weighing around 200.
I recently learned my insurance will no longer cover Oz for pre-diabetes, only for type 2 diabetes. I'm not type 2.
I'd appreciate any advice.
My choices are to get a compounded semaglutide prescribed by my doctor from a compounding pharmacy, or I can shell out $990 monthly for an 8mg pen. I would then lower my dosage to a maintenance level and try and expand it to several months. (I'm on 2mg currently.)
Has anybody changed from OZ to a compounded sg?
(Same applies insurance-wise to Monjaro and similar meds.)
Thanks a lot!
