Losing weight FAST?!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Outlier pace at the start is more common than people realize - some people just respond that way. Enjoy it while it lasts.

60 lbs in 80 days is unusually fast at 1.7mg - protein and resistance training matter more the quicker the rate. Muscle loss at that pace requires active counterwork.

Starting at 305 and losing 23 lbs over a few months on Wegovy is actually pretty standard early trajectory at that starting weight - the concern about sustainability applies more when the rate is high relative to current body weight. Getting serious about eating habits partway through is when the real acceleration tends to happen anyway.

10 lbs passively before dialing in diet is actually a reasonable start - the medication moves the needle slowly for some and the food work in month 4 tends to accelerate it.

84 lbs at 7.5 Mounjaro before switching to 0.5 Wegovy and still maintaining suppression is a strong starting position. The slow-going feeling after the big early losses is almost universal - the pace does feel different when you're not working off the same initial deficit. The OP's 1.7mg is a higher range for Wegovy - how long did it take to get there and what happened to the pace when you did?

25-30 lbs back while not eating healthy is actually the honest version of what stopping or neglecting the behavioral piece produces. The oral rybelsus route is a real option and some people find the consistency of a daily pill easier than remembering injections. What does the pill protocol look like - is it the same mechanism as the injected form?

11 months on Wegovy through 1.7 losing slowly and then 2.4 making you sick before switching to Mounjaro in February is a path the OP might be heading toward if 1.7 keeps working for now. The OP dropping fast on 1.7 is the better version of that story - when the higher dose is working without side effects, staying with it rather than switching usually makes sense. How long has the fast rate been going?

Second week of Wegovy pill with 1 lb down is a slow start compared to the OP's fast drop on shots, but the pill form tends to build more gradually. The goal area of early 30s weight is a familiar target. Are you planning to stay on the pills or is there a point where you'd consider switching to the injectable form if things don't pick up?

First three weeks on MJ, weight came off just from an unintentional deficit. Wasn't tracking calories at all, appetite just wasn't there. Dropped 3.5kg across those initial three weeks.

Calorie counting now though, plus 10k-plus steps daily on a treadmill five days a week and a couple hours of sports on weekends. Figured since this medication's part of the routine anyway, might as well maximize everything toward a sustainable lifestyle shift, since staying on it forever isn't the plan.

Set an hourly alarm as a reminder to drink water and get up and move. Desk job means without that nudge, hours pass sitting still with zero water.
