Lost 85lbs on Zep!

Food noise just changed shape for me. Instead of eating-everything noise, it became 'did I get enough protein? enough calories?' Took months to realize the med was working right and just go with it.

Some THC/CBD really helps with nausea — no snack munchies after. Just make sure to eat a real meal afterward and sip water. Walking helps too, never was a walker before this. Coffee, junk food, or laying down after eating makes it worse.

The carb craving loop is one of the more frustrating interactions - each carb-heavy meal seems to amplify rather than satisfy the urge for the next one. The medication helps quiet the food noise but high-carb eating can partially override that suppression specifically.

The bodybuilding protein split protocol maps directly to the GLP-1 context in reverse - bodybuilders split to get enough in, GLP-1 users split because they can't fit the required intake in fewer sittings. Either way, 4-5 smaller meals is often the only practical way to hit targets when single-meal capacity is limited.

That's a genuinely remarkable turnaround. Bringing an A1c down from 11.0 to 5.4 while shedding 120 pounds is a massive achievement. Wasn't just the Tirz doing the work either, you clearly put in effort managing calories, fasting, cutting carbs, and staying disciplined over a full year plus. That part gets overlooked way too often. Now that strength training's entering the picture, expect even more benefit from preserving muscle heading into maintenance. Well earned results, congrats!

Appreciate that. To me MJ is just one piece of the puzzle, not the whole solution. If I hadn't committed to overhauling how I eat, I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am now even with the medication helping. My diet shifts have been toward lower sodium, lower fat, lower carb, and lean protein. I still eat carbs, mostly from fresh fruit that's higher in fiber. Basically trying to cut out processed food almost entirely. Also wear a continuous glucose monitor and keep close tabs on my blood sugar, another tool in the mix. It shows me exactly how certain foods move my numbers, which has helped me make smarter choices. You're doing great too! Losing 21 pounds over six months is a genuinely healthy pace. Be proud of that, you've got this.

Experienced every side effect going at 2.5 and started shedding weight about three weeks in. Held there for twelve weeks before bumping to 5mg. Food noise kept quieting down but the actual weight loss slowed. Sitting at 15mg currently and those opening weeks at that dose were genuinely brutal. Been on this medication just over two years and I'm around 55 lbs into a 65 lb goal. So unlike a lot of people posting here, mine's been a slow burn rather than a fast drop. What's made the real difference though is staying on top of protein, fiber, water, and movement. Pay attention to what gives you energy versus what makes you feel awful. Had to cut most tomato-based sauces even though whole tomatoes are fine for me. Mostly craving well-seasoned chicken and roasted vegetables these days. Still allow myself a square or two of chocolate, just nowhere near the whole bag I used to go through. Figuring out what actually works for your own body is going to take some trial and error.
