Low B12 on GLP-1s?

Alright, hitting up the collective wisdom... My B12 came back at 259 pg/mL. The lab says normal is 200-1100, but also notes that some folks between 200 and 400 might have neuro issues due to hidden B12 issues.

Thinking about B12 injections. My doc's not keen on prescribing. Any reliable sources? I'm on a multivitamin, but it doesn't seem to be doing much. Just trying to boost my energy; I crash hard around 4 PM. Protein shakes don't help. My Ferritin's also slightly upped, so maybe more protein isn't the answer?

Doc said my bloods are fine, but the slightly deficient B12 and a bit high Ferritin might be behind the crashes. I'm just using Reta right now.

Thoughts?

I'm using oral B12 and it works alright, but not as good as pinning. Have you tried oral B12 maybe that would be enough?

Try lipo with added B or just straight B shots. Look around the marketplaces here. Lots of sources, just find one that fits your budget and has good reviews. Give it a shot, maybe it will help.

I'm doing sublingual B12 daily and my levels are sky high, like over 2,000! I'm thinking about switching to injections now that I'm pinning peptides, but the sublingual works great, so why bother?

I've been using sublingual B12 for 2 decades. Tests always put me near the top of the range. My first doctor said sublingual works almost as well as injections for most people.

If you don't make enough intrinsic factor, normal pills won't work. That's why I use sublingual or pin it.

Unless you have bad absorption from stomach or gut issues, oral or sublingual B12 is smarter. Injected B12 is for when you can't absorb it due to anemia or gut problems, and even then high oral doses often work. You only need 2.4 - 5 micrograms daily, and you can get pills with 200 - 400 times that - 1mg , which help if you're deficient, or take metformin, or have nerve pain. It's not usually toxic in high doses. Injecting tons more than you need won't work better than a pill with the same dose.

B vitamins to watch out for include B6; high doses can cause nerve issues that might not go away. Over 100mg a day isn't smart. Some formulas have it, but I've seen max 50mg per dose.

Metformin blocks B12 absorption. My partner was tired and taking oral B12, but didn't know Metformin makes it useless. Their levels were "normal," but I ordered injectable B12 to see if it helps. It just arrived, so we'll see.

DM me if you want my B-12 source. It's methylcobalamin. Or find LIPO shots with B-12; peptide vendors have them, including many here.

I'm really into Vitamin B12. Your levels might not show how much B12 you can use if you have certain genes.

I did subq B12 injections for a while, but stopped before I saw results. The skin side effects were too much for me.

I feel way better since starting lipo-c shots. I use Bio Boost they sell. I get it from a compounding pharmacy.
Bioboost has been awesome for energy. I take 1 ml 2x/week and I do it IM, gives me a great boost.
