Meds: Still kickin' goals!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The 'what helped most on top of the meds' question is worth answering specifically for anyone in a similar spot. Water intake as the unlock is the most common underrated factor - the appetite suppression works better when hydration is good and a lot of people mistake dehydration signals for hunger early on. What was the main lever for you?

Quick question, are you adjusting your lifestyle alongside the medication? Upping water, fiber, protein at all? Hitting the gym? The meds definitely help, but for me the lifestyle piece has made the bigger difference.

Are you actually running a calorie deficit and hitting 10,000 steps daily? Medication's just one piece of the puzzle, real lifestyle changes are what drive actual results.

Everything's looking up from here. This medication reshaped so much of my life. Eat healthy because I want to now. Hit the gym five times weekly purely by choice. Dropped 70 pounds over twelve months and honestly feel like the strongest version of myself.

Congrats! Just took my own first dose today, this is honestly so motivating to read. Mind if I ask, do you keep up a regular workout routine too?

Down 11 pounds over four months here. It's definitely not some instant melt for everyone. Sounds like you're seeing a really strong response to the meds though.

Might be worth considering a higher dose? What's driving the push to get under 80 kg specifically? Personally I'd lean toward hitting the gym and building strength instead.

Huge boost to self esteem and confidence here. Lost roughly 45 pounds and it genuinely feels like a new life. Hoping to eventually come off blood pressure medication within the coming year. Been managing blood pressure for longer than can be remembered at this point. Slowly working toward cutting down to just one or two medications total.

Also currently on a few others for mood and sleep.

You're doing genuinely great. Just keep at exactly what you're already doing. Even if progress stalls out at some point, there's even better medication on the way over the next few years that'll help you close the gap to your goal.
